Earthquake Rocked Bangladesh, Nepal And Northern India. Bangladesh was shaken twice by strong earthquake and its shock wave in a span of half an hour this afternoon. The jolt was felt shortly after a 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck an area between the capital Kathmandu and the city of Pokhara. No major damage was reported from anywhere in Bangladesh as yet. Some buildings in the capital, Dhaka, tilted in impact. Over 100 people were injured across the country when they were coming out of buildings hurriedly A panicked woman died of stroke in Pabna during the earthquake. However, the story is different in Nepal. Viewers may see the pictures uploaded below. Huge damages and many deaths have occurred there. A Nepali minister said there had been "massive damage" at the epicenter.. It is feared that the death toll may go up to an unthinkable level. Please join me in prayers for the departed souls. Picture details: 1, Panicked people of Dhaka on Road. 2.All other pictures are from Nepal. |

I've seen a utube clip of how many atom bombs have been tested and or dropped, a Japanese student did the vid. Over 2000. If you see this clip and the areas they are tested in over and over again I couldnt help but wonder if like a stone chip on a cars windscreen the plates in the earth would start to crack and shatter? I'm no scientist but ...... maybe? Earthquakes on the increase. China did some testing, then had major earthquakes, would be interesting to know if there was any link, and with other countries too. Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and also for leaving a meaningful comment there on. I do not know whether there could exist any link between testing of nuclear bomb and earthquakes that are happening now a days. However, like you , I also apprehend that this could be true. Human follies know no bound. We shall one day wipe ourselves out from this blue planet which we call Earth! Best wishes. Have a nice weekend.

Very sad day for the Nepalese people really. Watching all the news being updated, it brings tears to the eyes. If one thinks how life is so fragile and just a trifle and how it can go suddenly in such a natural catastrophe, and just in seconds also. How this country has been destroyed comparing to what it just was YESTERDAY.!!. How those dead ones were with their families yesterday too. This is what is called FATE of a nation, Fate of these people too. I wonder how many are still under the rubble, how many are struggling to survive and how many are already dead also. How many are elsewhere, not yet accounted for, on Mount Everest for example and also in any other villages. May God help them and keep those deceased ones in the heaven with him. " We are all on transit in this world, May God have mercy on each one of us ". Instead of killing one another heartlessly, we should all live in peace, remembering how our lives are just trifles". Thanks Looklook for this heartfelt blog. Have an enjoyable weekend MBN. My best wishes to you. Lisa.

Thank you very much for everything that you have said about the devastation and loss of lives that occurred in our part of the world---- especially in Nepal. Lisa, your post tells us how kind and soft you are! How much you feel for the suffering humanity irrespective of caste, creed, color and religion! You are absolutely correct that we humans "are all on transit in this world, May God have mercy on each one of us. Instead of killing one another heartlessly, we should all live in peace, remembering how our lives are just trifles". Thanks Lisa once again for your heartfelt comments. Have a wonderful week.May God protect you and the members of your dear family! Regards from MBN.

We have had our share of earthquakes here too. I have experienced more than a few but fortunate not to have had major injury or property damage. They are sudden, swift and destructive and as someone else said very disruptive for so many. My thoughts are with those going through this. Spiritwoman ^i^

Your comments will touch everyone's heart. Lisa's comments have made me thoughtful. I almost felt like crying after reading the post.. Your observation on mother nature is absolutely correct. Yes, it could be scarey and brutal at times to show us who is in control of things! May sanity returns to us-- the humans! Thanks Roxy for your comments. Have a nice weekend.

Thank you so much for remembering me while you had been going through the news of this devastation. Nepal is located on our border-- very close by. The earthquake struck us almost at the same time. But its power was apparently less than Nepal. It saved many lives here in my country. I shall always thank God for keeping me safe as i could not go out from the first floor of my house where I live alone mostly. Thanks again for your kind comments. Have a wonderful time.

What a horrible thing to have happened. Earthquakes and other disasters that costs so many their lives, are beyond comprehension. I feel for all those that lost friends and family in this tragedy. Elaine Shuel

I do not know how to thank and express my gratitude to you for remembering me as soon as you heard about the catastrophe.I live on the first floor of my two storied building in the residential locality of Dhaka mostly alone. As I said to Mrs,Joe, let me repeat again that I should thank God for keeping me safe and unharmed when the quake struck us as I could not go out of the house in the open for my safety. Nepal is getting helps from her neighbors including my country soon after the devastation occurred. It is impossible for them to cope with this vast situation alone.I heard about your country's immediate reaction to this sad event. I understand that help is on way to Nepal now from USA. Thanks once again Carolyn for your kind words and extending your Blessings to me… Take care and always remain happy. May God protect you and your family always.

No doubt about it , earthytaurus. God has saved us from much damage or many more deaths other than the three reported so far. But our neighbor Nepal is a death Valley! The death toll is rising there and many more remain unaccounted. Some are still fighting to survive even though they have already passed more than 24 hours under the rubbles." A growing sense of despair spread through Katmandu on Sunday as the devastated Nepali capital was convulsed by aftershocks that sent residents screaming into the streets, where they were pelted by heavy rain." We ,here in Bangladesh, have experienced similar aftershocks throughout the day. Thanks ET for stopping by the blog and also for leaving the comment. I appreciate. Take care. May God bless you.
