Trump wins in Court over Congressional subpoena that lacked standing to sue. The Federal Courts today in a unanimous decision ruled that Congressional subpoenas issued last year by individual members of the house lacked standing to sue. This bolsters Trumps position on last week's impeachment debate wherein Dems argued that Trump had no authority to refuse their subpoenas over the impeachment investigation. When the House issued the impeachment subpoenas, the case in today's ruling (an earlier charge that Trump violated the Emoluments Clause) was still in Court awaiting a judgment. Also, at that time, House leaders had not properly established the impeachment inquiry committee, and Trump lawyers argued that the subpoena for the impeachment inquiry was therefore invalid. Today's judgment bolsters that case for Trump. I've maintained all along that all the House had to do was conduct a vote of the WHOLE House to properly establish the impeachment committee, and THEN issue new subpoenas from the PROPERLY appointed committee, and then Trump could no longer refuse to comply with those new subpoenas. Whether you think Trump committed any crime or not, or whether you consider him a sleaze or not is irrelevant to the point of my last blog prior to this one. Any prosecution of anyone requires strict adherence to proper procedural rules. Further, in addition to the requirements of the House to do things properly, the Senate is morally OBLIGATED to oppose such an impeachment for the MAIN purpose of protecting the Constitutionally established balances of power in the branches of government. That is very tiring. (We have heard it many times.) How could anyone forget??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? We are now concentrating on the election while the world class liar demonstrates why he is (MORALLY) unfit for the job. You may be blind to what just went down or just playing (I KNOW MORE THAN YOU KNOW)------Either way thanks for your exceptional comprehension and immaculate dispensation of what Giuliani and all the lying masters henchmen have thrust upon us. Gavin, Republican Senators didn't vote to protect the Constitution. They voted as usual, out of fear ... shaking in their boots afraid of a tweet. And whether you consider Trump "a sleaze" or not ... now that's funny … In my book a sleaze disrespects Gold Star Parents, Vietnam War heros, POWs, handicapped people, Nations living in poverty, etc etc etc. A sleaze lies to you about where he gets his money. A sleaze says he's going to extort money from Mexicans to pay his bills … how's that for a start?
