Trump fires the head of the supposedly independent agency that is conducting open investigations against Trump himself and Trump's cronies??? Now Trump can appoint whoever he wants to head the FBI?? Trump does whatever he wants and is making a mockery of the U.S. government. Who is supposed to look into the Trump family and all the countless conflicts of interest???

You completely ignore the fact that you, like all the other Trump supporters, couldn't praise Comey enough when he "exposed" the Clinton e-mails. There was absolutely no question of firing him then!
Odd then, that he has now been fired for supposedly just that circumstance. So...what changed? Did Trump Derangement Syndrome affect your memory, so that you never question anything Trump does? Even when most of the World questions it?

From the BBC NEWS WEBSITE.

"The abruptness and timing of Mr Comey's dismissal, to put it mildly, is highly suspicious.

Just over a week ago, the FBI director talked about his agency's investigation into Russian meddling in the US presidential election - and possible Russian ties to the Trump campaign - before a Senate committee.

He was scheduled to appear before Congress again to discuss "worldwide threats" on Thursday.
Mr Trump has been tweeting almost non-stop about how the allegations are a "hoax" and the investigations are a "taxpayer funded charade".

Now the man overseeing that investigation has been shown the door - by Mr Trump himself.

While the White House has said that the move is based on concerns over how Mr Comey handled last year's investigation into Hillary Clinton's email server, not many people - particularly Democrats - are buying that line.

They may recall last year, just a few days before election day, how Mr Trump praised Mr Comey for his handling of the email inquiry.

"It took guts for Director Comey to make the move that he made in light of the kind of opposition he had where they're trying to protect her from criminal prosecution," Mr Trump said at a campaign rally. "It took a lot of guts."

Mr Trump, it seems, has soured on the FBI director - and, according to the New York Times, had been seeking a reason to fire him for more than a week.

If the dismissal was because of the email investigation, why act now? How the Trump White House answers that question will go a long way toward determining whether the cover-up allegations die down over time".

Well said Sparkle...it's all there for everyone to see. Seems maisie really does think liberals can't read.

Ah well...that's Trump Derangement Syndrome for you.

As we snip at each little piece of evidence, As we take individual evidence and try to promote it, or try to diminish it. the big picture gets lost. I'm tired of it.

Sometimes the opposite of what I believe becomes apparent. The reason someone does something thing is more important than what they actually do, I believe, it to be the true meaning of what a person does. But when the big picture overwhelms you, the individual reasons does'nt matter. the Specific reason why trump fired Comey, doesn't matter

In the big picture of what Trump does, there are reasons. It's almost always the same reason.

Maisie said it....."New flash. Each and every person you mentioned serves "at the pleasure of the President "

So I ask...Does it matter what Trump's pleasure is?
We may not know what that is, but what we know is that every person mentioned was not servicing the pleasure of the President.
What we know is that every person retained, serves the pleasure of the President.
Every person retained MUST support the narrative of the President.
It's my opinion , based on substantial evidence, that the narrative of the President is not entirely truthful.
Think about where Trump has come from...business. and the way of doing business to be successful. There is no high ground in business dealings, and Trump has never kept anybody, who wanted to maintain the high ground. If that would adversely effect his business. He's doing the same thing with governing. Fall in line, or you are gone..
Yates wasn't falling in line, and Comey wasn't falling in line.

So this is now about the shit hitting fan and how Trump can turn it. He can't turn it without people who fall in line.
It gets turned, so it's not Trump's collusion, it's about collusion against Trump.
It's about liars and incompetents that are turned to make their truth lies.
It's about unauthorized Leaks, The irony being that only he can authorize them.
It's about checks and balances.. It's about how to bounce the checks and unbalance the power.

There was a time, that maisie could have been correct, that the results of the economy, jobs, wealth, and giving America back to Americans could have worked.

Today that time no longer exists. Trump will go down in infamy. No matter what happens.
The only question that remains is who he going to take with him.

I would hope we can see what's coming.
The arm's length, talked about, Is not a truism. there is no arm's length.
What there is...Is those waiting in the wings. Sitting around the breakfast table, saying.... "Let Mikey try it"

Trump may be pretty smart, but there is always someone smarter.
One thing the Rights got right, is this is not the "old" way of doing the government business. It's new way. What we have learn about the government is any new way is flawed. Trump's mistakes, are just learning experience for some other's.
Other that choosing to stay at arms length. So when their time comes, it won't backfire on them.
They won't be so easily caught.
It's going to take a lot more time, and alot more diligence, and a lot more savvy, to get it done.... In our world, compared to a fascist world, have no fear, one person can't live long enough. Trump is just a blit on the screen
.

I heard Kellyanne Conway saying that too many people are questioning the President, that it is inappropriate to question the president.......That sounds like a line that a mother might tell a young child.....a line that child psychologists, behaviourists and educators deem to be bad parenting............She's probably too busy to actually talk to her own children or even have the time to hire competent nannies.......Children who have been repressed may not question that attempt to exert power over them by an authoritarian parent, but the adult citizens of a free nation? Inappropriate to question the President?........Does she imagine that she is spokesperson for a dictator?

You do understand that peeking into Nixon's office as a child and having relatives who got paid with government checks doesn't give you an advantage when it comes to discerning truth, right?.....LOL.....that story was sure a big pat on your own back...........There are many layers of secrecy in the workings of the government bureaus ......classified information that you may not be privy to despite your childhood memories. The timing of the firing and the way he was fired and the sudden absence of the President .......who celebrated and congratulated Comey concerning his handling of Hillary's emails.....Many bullshit meters ringing very loudly around this situation........ with new evidence every day that Trump is a huckster.

That Comey undertakes his investigations independently, without fear or favour, is to be admired, not scorned. It takes guts to single mindedly commit to determining truths and stepping on toes in the process is inevitable; Comey was simply doing his job (non partisan). The only person Trump is interested in protecting is Donald Trump - smoke and mirrors. Hopefully much ado will be made of Comey's untimely dismissal and independent investigation into Russian collusion enforced if necessary.
