The ideology wars have been going on for centuries in Washington. Some of Us understood they were there, but they weren't in our face. They were covert actions, with certain bounds designed not to offended the American public and the ideals the public held. Things such as wars, more about resource gain, and influence, than about freedom and democracy. Elections, that were more about fixing them, than freedom and democracy. Legislative actions, that were loaded with special interests and regional bias instead of serving ALL the People. They have existed to some extent in the past. Yet the Public ideals were always protected. Some could say it was all just lies, but ideology would not transgress our ideals overtly.
Into the the path of destruction we have wandered. The protection of our ideals is going down the tubes. It's no longer covert actions, but the desire to change our ideal to conform to ideology, instead of ideology conforming to our ideals.
Our ideals are not in the words of our Constitution, but live behind them. An interpretation of an overall sense of who we are. You won't find it in the Constitution. Religious people should understand that their ideals, may be written in the bible, But God is not the words, he lives behind those words.

There is no strict interpretation of the law, without common sense. There is no strict interpretation of the law as it relates to ideology.

It seemed, hopeless to me, that ideological ideas about the Supreme court. I have no way to combat.
It seems hopeless to me, that people would choose to legislate morality.
It seems hopeless to me, to prevent the change of our past ideals, as it succumbs to ideology.
I hold no ideology bias in regards to this. We use to have a liberally conservative ideal. It encompassed the best of both. The worst of both, at least, tried to be hidden.
Maybe I am living in a fool's world now.....
But "once upon a time" it was a Fool's Paradise.

WE can't win this........
Those who interpret their success of their particular ideology, will find it unsuccessful. NO matter the ideology.
Ideological ideals don't work, no matter how hard you try to make them work.
Our ideals can not be found in ideology. There will always be disagreement, disagreement outside the ideology, and if that not enough, then certainly inside the ideology.
As such, ideology can not create ideals, only destroy them.
Ideals prevent, disagreements from becoming fights and then fights becoming wars.
The beginnings of which, becomes the first step on our path of destruction.

I fear we have traveled too far down that road.

    Quoting  :

Well, the Democrats gotten bitten in the ass.

But, maybe that was the plan all along.

The idea of approving circuit judges, the non approval of that, was obstructionism.
The idea of not voting on Obama's nomination was obstructionism.

The Democrats, never saw it coming. they just couldn't imagine, the Republican using the Demo's fight against obstructionism to appoint a lifelong Supreme court Judge of their ideological choosing.

So yes stupidity of Democrats, got them bitten in the ass.

Big, what goes around comes around.

Your damn sure not going to like it. when it bites you in the ass.!

It will be interesting to see how many Liberal Supreme Court Justices get bumped off, in the next three year. Or, they will never see another Conservative one.
