I have been trying to tell maisie this on another blog. but let me add, I learned today, it's about automation, it's about operations that are "out of date". Company that are surviving here, are doing it. Out of date companies are moving. Do it for them and they won't move. No matter those jobs in Syracuse, could never have been kept. Government doesn't matter. As far as wages goes, a move to Mexico for carrier results in a difference of wage rate from $30 an hour to $3 an hours. But it's not about $30 hour. it's really about the number of job in which that pay is required. all they need is ten times less employees to even up the difference. Government intervention is not about jobs. It's about a companies ability, with government help, to pay ten times less employees.

Well, thank you for this response. someone I agree with. about everything they have to say.. People are going read as political. as your political beliefs. It's has nothing to do with politics, When they take your money, or you lose your job. they aren't going ask you what your political beliefs are.

Well, it's only the tip of the iceberg. If your waiting for it to dissolve, there's a whole underneath it, you are not seeing. Think of us as the Titranic heading in it's direction, more so than it's already ripped the hull out of us.

I think that's already Carrier's plan. to save 800 job now, but automate, and turn them into 80 job. It's a fact, more jobs have been lost to automation than have been taken overseas. It just seems to me. This government is going to say, bring back jobs. While all the time those types of jobs are going to be lost, regardless what the government does. It wouldn't be so bad, if at least companies had to do it on their own But does the government have to help them do it?
