I was a little surprised that the Supreme Court made any decision on same s*x marriage and that they just didn't say it was up to the individual states to decide. I'm glad about the decision in any case and just hope the Repubs don't waste any more time and taxpayers' money trying to fight this.

If those religious or straight people who oppose the decision are worried how this will affect U.S. society in general, same s*x marriage has been legal here in Canada for a decade already and there have been no negative or visible changes whatsoever to society.
