 State dollars and federal dollars are two different things.

Maybe do some research on Federal Tax dollars contributed to the USA by California which happens to be the fifth largest economy in the world.

If ignorance were truly bliss, you would be one of the happiest people on the planet. The money contributed by California to support the federal government is offset by the huge amount of federal expenditures within the state. You fail to include little things like military bases, port control, customs and other costs which will have to be borne by the state if they decide to become a bankrupt socialist state instead of just a bankrupt state.

Which brings up an interesting point. Will California form their own military forces or will they defend themselves with the remnants of what the American taxpayers leave behind?

 In order to get some perspective, I suggest you put together a list of States that don't have Federally funded Military Bases.

Do the same for customs.

As far as port security take a look at a map. California isn't the only state with an ocean! And who doesn't think the Feds need to be involved in port security?

 California real estate in among the highest priced and most wanted in the world. California residents are among the wealthiest people in the world.

When the day comes that Californians decide to secede from the United States of America and hand it all over to Mexico let me know .. that will be the time to shoot your mouth off. And I'll join you ..
