Hi, Fossil, You're spot-on with your choice of font color. Having been graduates of, and now employed by IU in my native Indiana, Mr. Richard and I are partial to red. However, when from 1986-2001 we lived and worked at a university in central Alabama, we were careful about shades of red. We had learned from the start that in 'Bama one is either a crimson "Roll-Tider", or an auburn Tiger, and there's no in-between! We had been able to get around the disagreement (and confrontations) by identifying ourselves as Hoosiers. Red Rocks!

Hi, Fossil. The school was Samford U. Interesting about your sister and her husband! When my husband and I spent his sabbatical in Wash. DC, I enrolled at Catholic U. (another "red" school) to study for one of my post graduate degrees. During my program I met became best friend and study-partner with a classmate and spouse who were from Jacksonville, (they and had met while students at JSU). Ultimately, they moved back to AL (Montgomery), whereas hubby and I returned to our home in "35213." We bumped into them every now and then when they visited Birmingham. Small world .... There are other coincidences, but not relevant to the subject of your blog.
