Friday Evening Hi again folks. Just felt like posting lyrics to another tune I wrote. This one was inspired after a night last summer when my brother and I went to hear an old friend of mine playing at a local bar. I’d not been inside a bar in about 8 years, cos I usually find it cheaper to drink at home and I don’t need so much actual social contact anymore. But I immediately noticed that they still function the same way. LOL Note: the parts in parentheses are a background chorus. The single lines between two repetitions of that chorus are sung. But all the other lyrics here are spoken. The tune has a driving beat for dancing, and I think I played some nice accompanying guitar licks. Hope ppl get a better feel for it by knowing what the music was like. Anyway, here it is. Hope u like it. Please feel free to comment if u do or don't. Late on a Friday evening, a Southern band will play, Exotic tingle, people mingle, -Not just another day (Sweet, wonderful you. I can’t begin to surmise, the things that you’ll do.) If you wouldn’t mind? The next free moments of your time? (Sweet, wonderful you. I can’t begin to surmise, the things that you’ll do.) Late on a Friday evening, all across the aching city, People meet with tacit verse, and now they’ll dance real pretty. (Sweet, wonderful you. I can’t begin to surmise, the things that you’ll do.) Late on a Friday evening, until the time bell rings The lights stay low and people glow, and the little band still sings (Sweet, wonderful you. I can’t begin to surmise, the things that you’ll do.) My racing mind is on fire. You’re at the center of my desire! (Sweet, wonderful you. I can’t begin to surmise, the things that you’ll do.) Late on a Friday evening, the dancing time will end, A furtive glance, a silent nod, and now the night begins. (Sweet, wonderful you. I can’t begin to surmise, the things that you’ll do.) I enjoyed this very much. I too could 'hear' the music! Loved the picture it painted. .. . . am having problems however with pure unalterated envy. You do so many htings os very well. I am however still stumped by difficult words such as : os..or so LOL

Wow folks! TY for such nice complements! Sewg, that's problem for me, because I still have a very difficult time envisioning music for lyrics written earlier by a poet! I'm currently hoping to improve on that shortcoming! But TYVM for the complement! Salsa, TY for the complements! And just so you know, this is one of my tunes on that site I told you about.
