I once read that Grace is God reaching down to man, religion is man reaching up for God.

It is good to get together with other people of similar faith, to praise and worship God in unity, but not necessary for salvation. God said "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 NKJV) That is the basis for Christianity.

There are also many who believe in God, but not in Jesus as the Savior. So no, belief in God does not have to include believing in organized religion.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

No. Spirituality is completely different from religion. We pagans encourage everyone to seek God on their own. Some of us belong to groups and practice that way but many of us are "solitaries" meaning that we worship, learn, practice our craft etc.on our own in our individual ways.
