Hi Knx: When I was growing up my father used to say that there is a law for the rich and another for the poor. I remember thinking he was just old and jaded, but when I went to work in law myself I realized he was right. Even if you feel wronged or ripped off, it costs a lot of money to go to a lawyer and sue someone, and unless you can sue for a limited amount in Small Claims Court you have to go through a lawyer.

Even in criminal matters the law is not equal for the rich and poor. If you have money you can hire a great criminal lawyer to defend you, and if you're poor you will have to rely on a public defender who is very limited as to how much time they have to prepare and spend on your case.

Equality should be just that but.....only chosen few feel it is equal.

I think everyone should have equal opportunity but there is no way to insure equal outcomes.
