Is this ignorance or is it something else?

Donald Trump has attracted more attention to himself recently...this time, not for his hateful harangues; nor for his blatant lies. In fact this time it was not for his blatant racism or his pervasive bigotry while all of the preceding are as much of Donald Trump as the orange skin that covers his over inflated head.

This time he has attracted attention for his unapproved usage of the music of one of the greatest tenors of our time. He has simply taken it upon himself to use the signature aria of Pavarotti, Nessun Dorma. This morning Pavarotti's widow along with his three daughters sent notice to Donald Trump to cease and desist from the unwarranted usage of the late tenor's copyrighted performance.

Was this something new? No, it was and is not. George Harrison has complained about Trump's unapproved use the Beatles' music.

Sadly, these two were not the only times this type of theft has occurred. Adelle, REM and the Rolling Stones have also complained.

Why do I identify this as "theft"?. Politicians aren't restrained from the use of an artist's music if they have purchased a blanket license. Trump has not purchased a blanket license from any of the artists named. This was and is simple theft.

Was this a matter of ignorance or was it deliberate? Ignorance of the law is no excuse before the law. Considering Trump has been involved in 3,500 lawsuits in recent years, I doubt that Trump is ignorant of the law.

He is evidencing clear disrespect of not only one person; actually the disrespect of not only several persons but clearly over the course of his business history hundreds of people.

Is this the behavior of a "law and order" candidate? I ask you do the actions comport with the words? Sadly, I can conclude they do not...once again, we observe Donald Trump being long on appearance, mouthy in his rhetoric and absolutely devoid of substance.

Law and Order? Hardly!

not to disagree with this post, but what is in it for you to ignore the elephant in the room, that the emperor is naked, and you seem to think some pigs are more equal than others

I'm wondering how can Pavaratti's widow claim her husband had any rights to Nessun Dorma ? It was written by Puccini for his opera Turandot.

I think Trump is going to be sued.
Queen has lashed out at Donald Trump again for using their 1977 song "We Are the Champions" without permission.
