My Birthday is almost here...When did I get so old??????

I'm sure I was a lot younger yesterday. I never really think about age too much, was always just a number. Other than a bit of arthritis, my physical strength and health is very good (still working on the emotional stuff)

So why this sudden awareness of my years...my handyman..

We were putting new siding on a shed, I wanted plywood...but he said "Mrs.Kay, why spend all that money, particle board a lot less. And at your age it's not like you'll be living here for another ten years.......WHAT why I'm only...and then the penny dropped..I'm almost 68....in ten years I'll be crowding 80...

Wait a moment....I'm the same woman I was yesterday, Age is only a number. Still strong, healthy and capable...not going to even think about ten years from now...just today..the rest will come.

10 years? Remember just yesterday (or was it the day before), it was 10 years ago. The years do spin by don't they!!

Have a Happy Birthday, eat cake, put on a funny hat and enjoy the day.

An early Birthday wish coming your way Morgana, and many more to come.
Like they say, (who ever they are) your not getting older your getting better.

Besides you have a legacy to leave, so why not leave one in good shape instead of one falling apart.

Time seems to be irrelevant. All anyone really has is today so we make the most of it. As for the better materials for your project - at this point in life why not have the best we can afford? What do we need to save for?

About 8 years ago, one morning in January, I awoke with a bad case of 50ness on my age. I wasn't too concerned at the time, but I made an appointment to consult my doctor. As it turned out, it's a recurring rash that never goes away. Eventually it morphs into 60ness. It's a terminal condition that can't be cured.

He gave me a prescription for some balm to rub on it, but it only alleviates the burning and itching for a time, and even then not completely.

I've come to realize that old age is something that I'll just have to live with.

GREETINGS EARTHLINGS! I COME IN PEACE! TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER. Klatu, baraba nicto.

Hey Witchy, almost 68 certainly isn't old, not by a long shot. Oh and in 10 years you won't be 80 yet, but only a young 78 ... so Happy birthday this coming Saturday!!
