.......I have written many blogs recently denigrating the Obama administration, and probably will continue to do so. The supporters of the President no doubt take offense and often say so in their comments. I would prefer not to blog about those matters because I held such promise for this man. True I had my doubts about him during the campaign. He was able to deflect many attempts to derail his candidacy of which he deserves much credit for staying on message. I was overjoyed with the cooperation he was getting from the Bush Administration in the transition. President Bush bent over backwards to see that a smooth change of Administrations would occur. I felt his inaugural speech was excellent and he and his Family looked stunning on a beautiful crisp clear day at our nations Capitol. When he took the oath of office I felt an overwhelming sense of pride that we have come so far in America and in my lifetime to elect an African American as President. Much like the Moon landing this event was right up there with things that one didn't think possible really happened. ...........OK 60minman what went wrong? Why are you now so critical and disappointed in such a short space of time? I am of the opinion that when one gives you his word on something he should do what he said he would. President Obama has reversed himself many times. He promises things to every group he speaks to and does not deliver. He has been indecisive and arrogant something he said he would change. As his popularity wanes his supporters blame it on racism. Nothing could be further from the truth. He was not elected solely by black Americans but by all people of all Racial and Ethnic backgrounds. A Mans word is his badge of Honor his bond. Get back on track Mr President. Be another Truman, JFK, Reagan and GW Bush. Be a man of honor be a man of your "Word".

So many promises, so many disappointed people who will still say today, "give him a chance." Now his pettiness and thin skin has him attacking a news agency by ridiculing them as presenting only opinions. No other president has been such a cry baby, even when attacked more vociferously. Even Bush never complained about the attack that Rather launched on him. Campaign on Mr. Obama, less and less people are listening. And many of us shudder at what you say you wnat to change.

The truth is not a part of his character. If it was he would not have spent millions to hide the records of his past.
It took me a long time to get here, but here I am now!

Some day, the historians will write, as Dickens did, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times", aptly describing our country today.
I just pray that these worst of times will soon recover and we will move back into the best, and continue there. And that move will start with US.... not with Washington. We must make our voices heard, to each other and to the politicians, AND we must be willing to work to elect new people that are OF the people.
I was never a supporter of the candidate Obama because I just thought he was too inexperienced and his track record was not a good one, in his state legislature nor the senate. I also found that there were just too many unanswered questions about him as a person, and what he believed and stood for.... except a vague slogan of change.
Now it really bothers me that he is surrounded by such a cloud of smoke and mirrors, and a huge gang of czars, with questionable pasts. As far as his race, I really don't give a rat's ass what color he is. But I do find it strange, that although he is half white, nobody, including himself, ever plays up that point.

I never had a great deal of confidence in him either, but neither did I place much hope in George II. Georgie greatly exceeded my skeptical expectations. It's still early in the game for HBO. Slick Willie sure looks good now when compared to either of them, but then he didn't have the economic mess and two wars that HBO has to deal with.

Perhaps what went wrong is that people wanted miracles of biblical proportions to happen immediately. The ailments of this country and most of the civilized countries of the world did not just pop up overnight and they won't be fixed overnight. How long did it take to recover from the Great Depression? Were you happy with how things turned out in the long run? What was done then that could be done now and did it take taxes to accomplish them? How much more complex is the world now than it was then?
Would you be happier if the President he erred and the problems can't be fixed? Possibly not. Should he sit back and wait out the next three years without attempting anything? Probably not.

With all due respect, 60mins, I will quote you:
"I am of the opinion that when one gives you his word on something he should do what he said he would."
"A Mans word is his badge of Honor his bond. Get back on track Mr President. Be another Truman, JFK, Reagan and GW Bush. Be a man of honor be a man of your 'Word'."
I think you forget that Obama is dealing with the lies that led us to war, two wars - maybe more - at a major cost to this nation and against the will of other nations. The phantom Osama Bin Ladin is still at large. I believe it was a hoax, and those that pulled it off believe the masses are asses and will never figure it out. Have you ever read "A Nation of Sheep" .... an old volume of prediction/recognition of social engineering????
I believe Obama went into office with an idealistic perspective and genuine HOPE of change. I further believe it was only after he assumed the station of Commander in Chief, in reality, that he met with the Shadow Government and the real powers that be. There are far too many self-servers at large than he will ever combat, those who stifle change that would serve the public good in favor of their own corporate interests. I believe they are LARGE and insurmountable and not necessarily in support of these here United States. How could we who profess to be "the greatest nation on earth" not see it?? It did not begin with HIM. It will not end with HIM!!
Predictably, people will combat ME, rather than IT!!! THIS is foretold.

Earthy, you are one of the "sheep" in my opinion. Have some more Kool Aide and shut up, would ya? We already know you think Obama is the Messiah and that everything that is wrong with the world is President Bush's fault. Hey, since you are already so close, why don't you move your self on up to Canada and move in with that bunch of critics. You will have loads of fun things to talk about.

Oh, and just for YOU, punkin...
