.....Some time ago a humorous story about Jimmy Carter was circulating about and that President Carter had died and arrives in Heaven. There he runs into Teddy Roosevelt and Teddy asks him what did he do on earth. Jimmy replied I was President of the USA. Oh wow says Teddy what happened during your term? Well said Jimmy the Russians invaded Afghanistan. What did you do send in the Marines asks Teddy?. No replied Jimmy we did not allow our athletes to go to the Olympic Games. OK what else happened asked Teddy. Well Iran took over our embassy and held our people hostage. OK now you sent in the Marines said Teddy. No said Jimmy we tied yellow ribbons around oak trees. Oh no said Teddy I suppose the next thing your gonna tell me is you gave away the Panama Canal!!....OK lets go back in time again and George W Bush is President. In Afghanistan, more American service members died this past August than in any month since the war began. His top military commander he selected says that without more troops, we run the risk of losing the war. Iran admits operating a second previously undisclosed nuclear facility. Unemployment stands at 9.7 percent, with low consumer confidence. An important domestic initiative — one he campaigned on — faces a likely make-or-break month in Congress. What does President Bush do? He flies to Copenhagen with his wife to personally lobby the International Olympic Committee to bring the Olympic Games to Crawford, Texas.....My oh my times sure have changed instead of being chastised and being called every name in the book President Obama is awarded the Nobel Peace prize. The press is singing his praises and anyone disagreeing with his policies are called racist and not legitimate.......It now seems that National Security is not job one but other issues have taken over....... The picture now comes into sharp focus. Americans voted for President a man who thinks that government creates wealth; that "greed" caused the current economic crisis; that taxpayers should provide health insurance for those who don't have it; that a government-induced housing and financial crisis can only be addressed by more government; that government can more efficiently and profitably run businesses than can the private sector; that "global warming" requires the imposition of job-killing and price-hiking action against emitters; and that government should "spread the wealth" by taking from those who have "too much" and giving to those who have "too little.".....I reaally have a hard time justifying all of this. Am I the only knife in the drawer? I know I have a host of critics but how can you deny facts? I can't do it, can you?..........

If, as you state, you have presented factual information and not unverified opinions, present your proofs.

Some time ago a humorous story about Jimmy Carter was circulating
about and that President Carter had died and arrives in Heaven.
There he runs into Teddy Roosevelt.

Teddy asks him, “What did you do on earth.”
Jimmy replied, “I was President of the USA."
“Oh wow,” says Teddy. “what happened during your term?”
“Well,” said Jimmy. “The Russians invaded Afghanistan.”
“What did you do send in the Marines?” asks Teddy?
“No” replied Jimmy. “We did not allow our athletes to go to
the Olympic Games.”
“OK what else happened?” asked Teddy.
“Well Iran took over our embassy and held our people hostage.”
“OK now you sent in the Marines,” said Teddy.
“No” said Jimmy. “We tied yellow ribbons around oak trees.”
“Oh no,” said Teddy. “I suppose the next thing you’re
gonna tell me is you gave away the Panama Canal!”

OK lets go back in time again and George W Bush is President.
In Afghanistan, more American service members died this
past August than in any month since the war began. His top
military commander he selected says that without more troops,
we run the risk of losing the war.

Iran admits operating a second previously undisclosed nuclear
facility. Unemployment stands at 9.7 percent, with low consumer
confidence. An important domestic initiative one he campaigned
on faces a likely make-or-break month in Congress.

What does President Bush do? He flies to Copenhagen with his
wife to personally lobby the International Olympic Committee
to bring the Olympic Games to Crawford, Texas.

My. oh my, times sure have changed instead of being chastised
and being called every name in the book President Obama is
awarded the Nobel Peace prize. The press is singing his
praises and anyone disagreeing with his policies are called
racist and not legitimate. It now seems that National Security
is not job one but other issues have taken over.

The picture now comes into sharp focus. Americans voted
for President a man who thinks that government creates
wealth; that "greed" caused the current economic crisis;
that taxpayers should provide health insurance for those
who don't have it; that a government-induced housing and
financial crisis can only be addressed by more government;
that government can more efficiently and profitably run
businesses than can the private sector; that "global warming"
requires the imposition of job-killing and price-hikingaction
against emitters; and that government should "spread the wealth"
by taking from those who have "too much" and giving to those
who have "too little." I really have a hard time justifying
all of this.

Am I the only knife in the drawer? I know I have a host
of critics but how can you deny facts? I can't do it,
can you?

Snoopy can read it better now!

Bye for now! Thank you!

Richard, I cannot deny the facts either. I hurt when I think of what our ancestors are going to have to pay for our mistakes or stupidity.

For the first time in my life I am concerned about being arrested for standing up for our constitution or by being shot by someone in some level of government.

mrsjoe has a great idea; Texas is a state by treaty.

It took me a long time to get here, but here I am now!

Anyone disagreeing with HBO's policies is called racist?

I doubt that anyone has ever accused Noam Chomsky of racism except possibly for some Israel supporters who think him a 'self-hating Jew'.

I oppose HBO's policy on Afghanistan, and rebuke him for his failure to close the detention facilities at Gitmo.

Anyone want to label me a racist?

When did that happen?

And THANKS to Denver for making this readable.

Bike I agree about his Afghan policy he either needs to jump in with both feet or get off the pot. The Gitmo policy was not well thought out (surpise like many other of his policies) hence his problem.

I see the spin-ster is still cranking out amusing statements that have nothing to do with what has been written. I certainly concur
with what you have said Rich.
