 I was recently given a prescription for my prostate problem and when I took it in and went back to the pharmacy to pick it up, it was priced at US $460.00. I was aghast, medication prices are crazy in the USA. I got the doctor to put me on another drug, it has some side effects, but I'm coping with it and it is only $20.00.

 Hi Seek: The price of some drugs is getting ridiculous. In Canada our prescriptions are not covered through our free government health insurance, so for my cancer testing I have to take a drug that is so expensive. Ten years ago I had to get two little pills prescribed, then I had to take one pill each day for two days before my cancer testing. How much could two little pills cost? Unbelievable to find out they cost $750.00 for each pill for a total of $1,500.00.

Now that I'm a senior the government pays for my prescriptions, thank gawd because now those two little pills cost almost $3,000.00
