 Sounds normal to me. As I stated in my profile friendship should be the initial stage and often the only stage of a good relationship. The wisdom of age should have taught us that this is the part of any relationship that endures. As for feeling lonely - since most here no longer work it is vitally important that we interact with others in some ways. social media serves this purpose very well.
