You don't have time to evacuate before an earthquake hits. A tsunami you could possibly get to high ground. An avalanche can be avoided. There's usually some activity before a volcanic eruption, giving you warning of impending doom. You didn't mention the good old mud/landslide - not much warning and fast moving. If I had to pick a disaster to attend it would be the hurricane. Seems we are able to predict the path and strength of the hurricanes, giving ample time to plan accordingly.
