Pharmacist2, I've seen some of your beautiful pictures and enjoyed looking at them. Blogging at SFF gives one the opportunity to meet various types of individuals and to hopefully have fun and make good friends. Friendship can take many forms. The traditional way is in person but I've made some great phone friends and online friends over the years. All are cherished.

Pharmacist2, the only way I'd end up going to Australia and New Zealand is through pics. I'm afraid of flying and had to take 3 planes on my 2014 European trip (pics are on my blog if you care to see them). Going to Australia/New Zealand is around 24 hours in the air, I was told. I can't undertake such a long plane ride and don't want to break it up over consecutive plane trips.

It is a lot of work to take a trip. It takes planning and as you said packing and unpacking. Our excursions were exhausting but worth it. As you said, do it while you're healthy because you may never get a second chance.

Hi Pharmacist, I don't know you very well as yet, but I am sure that the longer I am here, the better I will get to know you.

Pharmacist2, why don't you do a Photobook to remember your trip by? This site might not be around in the future (you never know). A photobook takes a lot of work but it's worth it in the end.

    Quoting SpunkyLady61:
    Hey pharmacist,

I do not mind your questions A lot of people on the sight already know.

I lost my sight in 1995 when an angry man hurt me. As a result I have damage to a part of my brain that can not be repaired.

I went from my home in Springfield, Missouri and relocated close to Little Rock, Ark and attended the Lions World for the Blind for several years.

At the Lions World I learned to use the computer and several programs that talk and spell-- yes with sound.

I learned Braille. Some of the computers have Braille boards also but I do not read braille fast enough to use a Braille board computer. I probably never will. I believe those are people who have been blind since birth that can utilize those.

It is good talking with you
Spunky, I felt terrible when I read about how you lost your eyesight. I never imagined it was anything like that. I'm so sorry. The guy should have been locked away and the key thrown away.
