I always use Bcc!!!

.....and if forwarding something, I always remove previous senders' addresses.

I hate it when people forward things, not because of the BCC thing but because even opening one of those forwarded jokes or recipes can attach a virus to your computer or get you on some hacker's list.

Good reminders, Pharmacist. I'm also careful about sharing links from online stories or articles. I have the links emailed to myself first, then I do the forwarding via BCC to selected friends and family. This reduces the likelihood of spam.

I've had my contact lists stolen a few times. On one occasion, the hacker was a marketing firm for diet pills. My email address appeared in the "senders" field. My beloved family and friends each received a message with the subject line: Lose the Fat !!! I was mortified.

Thanks for the post!
