I still love to travel inside my country which is known as the land of rivers by ship,Doug. A journey by boat/steamer here in my country is something that one could never forget !!!!

Hi Doug: In 1956 my father was visiting his family in Italy and to return home he had booked passage from Italy to New York on the Andrea Doria. Lucky for him, his plans changed and he cancelled his reservation. Two ocean liners collided and the Andrea Doria sunk before it reached New York.

I love to travel by trains or planes! My grandfather was the signal supervisor from Chicago and Ft. Madison, Iowa. When I was a girl, I would visit my grandparents in the summer. I would walk to the station to watch the trains and grandpa would give me little jobs to do to help him. One day I hope to take a train ride again. The nearest is at least 2 hours away.

Planes........ahhh, I must have been a bird in another life! I love to fly.

I remember coming from Bremerhaven to Halifax aboard the Liberty ship Gen. CC Ballou.

It was a ten day trip.

My mother was seasick, but I had a great time roaming around the ship.

It's where I saw my first comic book - Blackhawk.

I always loved traveling by train, every journey was like another adventure. I wish we had more running nowadays so we could take long trips on them.

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

Not sure about this one. I do like a slower pace like taking the train but when I have to be somewhere, like the other coast, for something specific I like to be able to get there faster. Also, If I am going on a destination vacation, like my time in Puerto Vallarta, I want to spend as much time a possible there, not getting there. The slow version was good for one time so I coul see some of the country side but I hate to waste my time going through 2 days of desert to get to the coast.
