Sad News I am sorry to inform my friends that Hubby ( Joe)passed away suddenly on the 12/24/2009 Hubby had Bowel cancer which was a shock to us both, as he went to the doctors with swollen feet. Was sent straight to emergency where they did tests and had to give him a pint of iron as his blood was low. Next day they did tests and found the bowel cancer , Joe was operated on the following Friday and came home a week later. He was doing great and his GP was very pleased with him the wed before. Then on the Tuesday he complained of severe pain where the drainage tube had been By 6,30pm he asked me to call the ambulance and then collapsed. He was rushed to hospital and put on life support. This was switched off by the agreeing of the family and he was gone within 20Min's. At least I had my and in law here from Japan Christmas day but it was a blurr. Anyway a lot of you knew he had dementia so thought I had better let you know what happened. |

Hey there Tass , So sorry for your loss , I know how it feels . Nothing anyone can say will ease the pain at this time , but take heart in the knowledge that he will suffer no more and is at peace . Don't take life to serious, its only temporary

Tassie-------Knew your husband was ill and always hoped for the best for him. Am so sorry about the final outcome. Love you & your family. Know it isn't----but take care of yourselves and know that your hubby isn't suffering anymore. I know----easy to say but difficult to accept. Please know I am thinking about you. ShantiGal

Dear Tassie, Sorry for reacting that late - I don't visit blogland often- just browsed through the headers today and your pic and handle caught my attention. I - like all the others feel so sad about your loss. I had the pleasure to meet you in person in 2008 and we talked about your husband's difficult stage of health. I felt your love and care for him while we were talking. May he rest in peace and may your family get all the strength you need during the months to come. A big hug from "up above" zippygirl
