NOTICE My blog yesterday turned into a contest slinging of insults. I am leaving it and all of the comments so anyone who wants can see what I am talking about. In the future I will delete any insulting, hate filled or argumentative comments. If that doesn't do it I will do something I only had to do once before, block people. You may ridicule, disrespect and laugh at me or my "heathen" beliefs but my spiritual belief system, the person who I want and try to be and my snobby standards to not include being mean or insulting to anyone. I believe and do my best to practice "If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all." Oh, I hold my own in an argument but never in public and never in a way that is hurtful rather than helpful. Call me what you want. There isn't a thing I haven't heard before but know I will not lower myself to the level of public insults and name calling. Yes, this is judgemental but I decide who and what I will be and what I will support. Don't bother to respond to this in political terms. I refuse to participate in that as well becasue I also see that as hurtful and disrespectful - at least the way it is done on here. I raised 5 and 2 grandchildren and suffice to say have had all of the childish behavior I choose to endure. For you Christians 1 Corinthians 13:11 " When I was a , I talked like a , I thought like a , I reasoned like a . When I became a man, I set aside childish ways." If you can't respect me at least respect your own higher authority. To all of the many wonderful, happy, entertaining and kind people I have met here - Thank you for being you. Hi Spirit: I don't know which of your blogs you're referring to. There are no comments visible on your blog yesterday about your friend's death. Sorry if someone insulted you. I'm glad you are always so sweet and hope you don't lower yourself to their level. There sure are some mean people on the internet.

There are stressed out people. Angry people. Insecure People. Controlling people. Narcissistic people. Stay away. They only try to put their energy into you because they are unhealthy, negative and have no coping skills. "The only way to have a friend is to be one."

Good blog. We can't control (and wouldn't want to) what others think and say, but we can control what is on our own blog. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Spirit, I have not read that blog, and I can only imagine responses from people who don't share your spiritual beliefs, or responses from those who don't believe in anything at all. I really don't want to go and read the negative comments, there is enough fighting in the world and I would rather not read that garbage in here, though it seems to be impossible to avoid of late. I read a pleasant blog, and sure enough, there it is, a hateful comment and then the war begins! The name calling, insults, who can sling the most dirt, who is smarter than who and it goes on and on. It does get a bit old, huh?

Block me if you wish. I won't lose a helluva a lot of sleep over it either way. But, at least let me know so that I can reciprocate. If I can read your blogs tomorrow - good. If I can't read your blogs tomorrow - well, I don't care. There are plenty of other bloggers to read. Somehow, life will go on. The "brawl" as KnxLady called it, began with a nasty comment about Lulu's appearance. It was rude, unkind and totally uncalled for. Or did you miss it? When Panther jumped in I was almost tempted to tell you who she really is but decided against it. It is too much fun the way it is now. Fossil Just for the record I have no idea about what happened between you and Panther. That was way before my time. I'm really don't care who pretends to be who as long as they don't invade my space and disturb my try to draw me into their conflicts. As for notification of blocking etc. I am not one to announce in order to try to illicit sympathy or allies. I do not care to participate in that in anyway. Not my style. I finally hit the battleground blog. As my grandmother uses to, say "basta". Spiritwoman ^i^

I would hope I never have to. I enjoy your stories. Just try to understand this is not personal. I do not condone hurtful behavior from anyone. I let things slide with many folks but things finally reached the point where I had to take a stand. All I wanted to do was lighten things up by sharing a funny story, something I do often, I have no ill will for anyone nor do I want to tell others what they should do or not do. All I ask is that everyone respect my space and my way of life. If anyone uses my space to insult you or anyone else, justified or not I will delete their comments as soon as they come to my attention. I don't ask you or anyone to do more than just respect me and my space. Spiritwoman ^i^

Lately that is about how things deteriorate on many blogs. There is so much hate in the world and things will only get worse. Peace can not happen until each of chooses to live in and promote it. Spiritwoman ^i^

After reading stuff on this and the other blog, now hidden, all I can add is if things get do combative and ugly an something as insignificant as us on this site I think we have our answer about how and why all of the violence we see today happens. What is wrong with us? how did we all become so angry and aggressive? we should be supporting each other at this stage in life, not harming each other Spiritwoman ^i^

Awww what a shame. Which blog was it? I read you rather frequently because I enjoy thinking about the issues you raise, sometimes agreeing sometimes not, but that's life. Once in awhile the same sort of thing happens to me. It's the vulgar language where I draw the line, but for the most part I just let the nuts be nuts. Spiritwoman ^i^
