When Seeing Is Not Believing

CA is under an invasion of politicians. At least the hot air seems to have brought our temperatures up to seasonal normal. I do my beat to ignore it but interspersed with the local news was a clip of Trump doing a rant about there not really being a drought in CA.!!!!

But no matter what he any other politician chooses to try to deny it this is the third year in a row the lake doesn't have any water in our cove. Don't think I can jet ski on dry land no matter who says the drought is made up.

I suppose, politician style, I could take one of the dirt bikes, customize it to look like a jet ski, ride it down the dry lake bed and tell people who can't see the water they are stupid, degenerate or some other sort of lesser human. But wait. This sounds strangely like a fairy tale called The Emperor's New Clothes.

I didn't hear what he has said lately...... I've been too busy having a good time with a group of crazy SFF folks!
But just guessing, could he have been referring to the fact there is water that cannot be utilized because of some little fish? I think he referred to that at another time.
If you jet ski on dry land, I want pictures!!!!

Hi Spirit: I heard Trump's rant about there being no drought. Not to worry though, if there's no water in that lake Trump will fix it.

Not quite that good. There was more precipitation in the north that did help but all of the reservoirs are still way below capacity. We are still under drought conditions in all of the state, just much more severe from Sacramento south.

The fish thing is part of the problem but that only effects a specific area around the Sacramento delta. Hardly the proverbial drop in the bucket for the big picture.

Interesting issue, since CA produces very little if any hay. We actually import most of it, at least here in the south. Most of the cattle ranches are in the central and northern part of the state and many of them are "free range", meaning the cattle get most of their food direct from the range. There are always truck loads of it coming in from the east on I-10 but I never thought about where it comes from.

And when he fills the lake he will "walk on water". At least he thinks he can but if it doesn't work he will get his hair wet!
