Cats Will Be Cats
Here in PV there are few stray dogs and cats. There is a local shelter but no real regulations concerning pets. People appear to be generally responsible for pet care. However as any cat person knows cats being cats tend to choose where and with whom they live. There are many "store cats" and such but the ones I have seen are all sleek, well fed and healthy looking.

Yesterday we ate at a well knows restaurant in town. They have 2 cats that hang out there and are cared for by restaurant staff. I was seated near a large planter dividing the patio from the street. This cutie was sleeping near by in the planter but decided to stretch and move when people were seated right next to her. She wandered down next to me and in typical cat fashion decided to allow me to pet her.

 Cats amuse me, our cat, Hairee2, just came out of the woods at the bottom of the yard one day, and then moved onto our back porch. She has been there ever since and she just knows we'll look after her.

 We have our Hairee 2 that chose us to live with. We have no idea where she came from but we are so glad she chose us.

Hairee2 is really interesting as she came to you all plump and healthy and you live pretty much out in the country.

My daughter has a mini pincher she got like that. Poor thing had been nearly killed by someone who didn't want her, then wandered off from her rescuer who could not keep her. She did well though and is a pampered member of daughter's household.
