Finally A Political Answer! Like everything else the cyber age brings far more information about politics than any human could be expected to process. When I was young and naive picking a side or party seemed simple. The older I got the less I cared becasue I was totally consumed by the tasks of job and family. In the process I figured out lots of things, like balancing a budget, establishing priorities and the big one between being a parent and a manager settling disputes and negotiating peace in my extended family. Add it all up and you would think choosing political "sides" would be easier. Not in my case. Learning more about the participant's stands or more correctly multiple interpretations of it, on issues ad nausesium is even more confusing. Seems I find something to agree with and something to disagree with in everyone competing. It all leaves me with the feeling of wanting to live on our wilderness property at the lake permanently and forget about it all. Everyone knows us artsy fartsy types age very good at creating our own reality and given the freedom to do so will live in it. The property is too remote and there is nothing there many would be interested in other than a few like minded folks who just want to life a quiet peaceful life. Yesterday while cruising the humor sites I frequent I came across this. At least I now have an explanation for my non polarized political stance. Spiritwoman ^i^ |

Myseek, I couldn't figure out if you were talking about European politics or American politics... I am going to assume American, because that's where you say you live I think it's more important that we all get on the same page...Than what page that is... Immigration and transatlantic investment? Is going to take away what? ********* I'm afraid of the moral right, and what they will take away I'm afraid of the liberal and what they'll give away.... until there's nothing left to give So i'm afraid of both give and take. I try to give each the benefit of the doubt but then again, I can't take anything for granted

Good analysis. I have always felt that the EU is the equivalent of the Federal government here in the US. Each of the countries involved is like a state here. The issues you describe are like our issues of state rights vs federal rights. I am not sure about other countries but Mexico is similar as well. Spiritwoman ^i^

I think it was likely a matter of priorities. We have to have our basic needs met before we can afford to give any energy to ideals. During the most pressing days of my life I remember just focusing on what it would take to get through the day and all of it's demand. No time to question why Spiritwoman ^i^
