Photo Monday - Dinosaur Eggs? Water levels are at record lows this year giving us a look at some things we usually can't see. The creek we camped along usually has more rushing water. Over the years the way it swirls carves, or in this case rounds, out the granite. When the snow melts and the water is high and fast flowing it stirs up loose rocks and stones. This is a picture of how some of these small stones settled into one of the carved out areas. Spiritwoman ^i^ |

There are so many casualties to the drought. Hard to believe that the last one in the area pictured, in the mid 80's was actually worse. This creed was a little trickle with a deceiving bottom. I remember walking along through the stream with one of my kids, then about 8. Good thing I had her hand because all of a sudden she stepped into a large "swirl". One of those times when the child is upset and needs comforting and you are choking back laughter. Spiritwoman ^i^
