Photo Monday - The Volunteer

I noticed this little plant growing in the crack of a the neighbor's cement driveway.. It is a daisy type climate appropriate ground cover. They and I both have some of these plants in our yards. I have a few volunteers myself but they are growing in the flower beds and none have any blossoms. This usually takes a couple of seasons. . This one chose a place where little grows. The neighbors drive in and out daily but this little plant is in the middle of the driveway so misses the vehicle wheels.

Beautiful little plant, do you know the name?

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

That is interesting. Reminds me a of Oxalis, a weed here. Back in Massachusetts my grandmother had one in pot and that was the only one I ever saw.

Most of my "volunteers" this year have been tumbleweeds. When I drug the one I turned into a Christmas tree home it left lots of seeds behind. Those things will sprout up everywhere.

Good reminder for the rest of us. If a little plant can do it we humans certainly should be able to.

I will attach the photo and send it to via email. I'm not sure how it will enlarge but you can give it a try.
