Can You Hear Me Now?

Like Alfie I read my horoscope every day. Its suggestions are not set in stone and by no means predetermined. They offer insight on what the prevailing energy supports (or not). Everything that exists consists of energy and frequency which affect everything else that exists. A complicated concept if you are so spiritual the science evades you or so scientific the spiritual evades you or just plain not concerned.

Whatever value you put on horoscopes they are interesting. Here is mine for today.

The kind of energy and excitement the stars are sending your way is likely to have you feeling totally connected, full of life and raring to go. It's also likely that you'll have other people taking plenty of notice of you -- the positive, admiring kind. And if you shed the inhibition that's got you feeling a little bit confined, well, you'll just turn the volume up on all of it. When almost anything goes, almost anything can happen!

OK, well…………… not a particularly exciting day so far. Chuck’s sister and husband visited. I cooked and served a pot roast dinner complete with actually setting a table etc (Ok, done with the formal eating for the next 6 months at least) but nothing as exciting as the horoscope indicates.

The horoscope did say to turn the volume. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?

I just looked at mine and find that I am in for one of those days when everyone close to me misunderstands me. So, I guess it is just going to be a normal kind of day with Ann for me.

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

I do read my horoscope sometime, just for fun. But I was astonished how their description of my personality is quite or mostly accurate too, it had really stunned me the first time I read it. Good blog and thanks Spirit.

Biorhythms definitely explain why we are just off some days and also why we feel so different at different times. As said in the blog everything that exists is energy and frequency always changing. Anything that assists in helping us understand and work with ours is helpful.

What a great topic...I'll go a step further here and suggest that it is wise to actually live your life by the horoscopes and the personality profiles.

Ok, before you assume the worst, here me out. To begin with it is astonishing how accurate Astrology is in terms of how it describes the 'Pisces' male. I say that because in virtually every Pisces male descriptive profile of substance, it correctly paints a picture of exactly who I am...nearly perfect. For what its worth, those who know me personally with testify to it. lol I am very much familiar with the profiles of all the signs. A Pieces male instinctively is curious about such things. I will also say that the other signs that are supposedly the 'perfect' match for a Pisces are indeed my 'dream' sign. I would instantly fall for people who are supposed to be my match. I crave such people and I am well aware that such people are indeed good for me. Sadly, I have never had the opportunity to be in a relationship with the dream match. It's somewhat funny...my perfect match is the sign 'Cancer' LOL

Now for the Horoscopes. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you had some background in social work - an endeavor I greatly respect and admire. Anyway, I bring that up because over time I came to realize that the genius of the horoscope was really to establish a relative balance in your life. The subtle suggestion to get more rest, spend time with a friend, visit a doctor, buy new clothes, save your money, take a trip, get organized etc....these are all thoughts that if followed will help you lead a life of balance and not go overboard in extreme. If you use them as a guide and don't compromise, unless you obviously must, you will get the rest you need, avoid careless financial mistakes, tend to your emotional good will etc. It is a map for daily living that protects you from risks and sets you free when its time to breath.

For example...say you been working hard for days and your patience is thinning but you don't even realize it. Then say you read your horoscope and it says watch your emotions with a boss whose is having a bad day. Now that you're conscious of your thin patience...you are less likely to sink your own boat. The subtle tug acts as a relief value...giving you that sense of control, that balance, that extra amount of purposeful thinking that helps you get beyond your present struggle.

Once I thought all this through I put the theory to test over one summer....another Pisces trait. The results were exactly what the theory suggested. It gave me the balance I needed...it definitely headed off trouble I didn't see coming, I wasted less money, and I took the time to go to the dentist when I was supposed to. I found more time for family, did some volunteer work...its a pretty long list of actual accomplishments.

One of the things that came out of this experiment was organization. Every Jan I devote 30 days to some sort of 'resolution'. Forget the year long ones. I am committed for 30 days. What I discovered is that 3 weeks is all it takes to solve most problems, change habits etc. You fix something and it mostly stays fixed. In 30 days I managed to organize so many things. I don't face chaos anymore. Oh sure, stuff still happens...but the chaos is contained now...it doesn't bleed into other areas of living that have to be managed as well. I'm still a Pisces, still a dreamer, but I'm a functional one and because of that my dreams are more colorful, fulfilling and revealing than ever in my life.

Astrology is like having an on call psychologist who never sends you a bill.
If taken at all seriously horoscopes like all food for thought do trigger an evaluation process by pointing out certain things. This can be used as a focus point and allow us to accomplish more.

Personally I am too much of a rebel to follow any method other than my intuition but those without having developed the art of listening to their gut has to have structure, rules and protocols. Any information is helpful but I weigh it against my gut. Us more intuitive types don't ever fit into any box let alone stay in one. In my case I my ADD processes things and moves on so quickly and unpredictably few can even can't catch me let alone put me in a box.

Uh oh. Hope the shed is ready for inhabitation. Or maybe it just indicates a usual day here on SFF.

My thoughts? Anyone who depends on any one thing for serious advice will have a problem. Life and it's circumstances are ever changing and success and often even survival depends on our ability to observe accurately and react accordingly. Life just doesn't come with directions.

Sorry to say that I have no faith on horoscope. I do not read it.
