Shall I Name Him W?

I'm a long time user of George Forman grills. This has always been a quick and easy way to cook meat. Grilling without heating up the entire broiler, making a mess in the stove or running back and forth to the outside BBQ while trying to prepare the rest of the meal. Over the years I have had many different styles from a huge grill type one that was free standing and ran on propane to a small, one person electric one that fits easily in my RV. For the last few years I had one that was just right for 2 - 3 people, plugged into electricity and easily sat on the counter. I named and referred to it as "George"

Now there is a new generation of these things. They have removable plates that can be put in the dishwasher. Such an improvement. It was difficult to clean the old ones well without destroying some part of the mechanism or non stick surface. Of course I got one and like it even better than old George.

But what do I call it? I started out calling it George like the old one but that didn't seem right. It's a whole new generation. Maybe New George? Then the idea hit. There is a precedent. I'll just call him W.

Why not call it Wilbur, which is short for Will burn?

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

That was my first thought but then it just didn't seem right not to give him his identity.

I like this. It is taking some adjustment to getting the timing just right.

The new generation all have detachable grills that eliminate that. The larger ones are pretty pricey though. Glad I no longer need the industrial size.

I never thought about that. Guess I had better keep the shot gun loaded so I can defend him.
