It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

As you can see mine is basically a harvest display. I will remove a couple of items, like the painting this week-end and leave the rest until after Thanksgiving.

I don't really call it a celebration but I observe Shadowfest. Once the trick or treaters are gone and everyone in the household is asleep I light candles and think of each of my loved ones who have passed, remembering my love for them.

Your display looks very much like an offering to the gods in order to appease and/or thank. A very touching gesture if so Spirit :- )

Most are natural things or hand made items.

I hadn't realized it but you are correct and an appropriate observation. My belief system revolves around nature and the cycle of the year. This time of year is harvest and a time for giving thanks for what we have grown / produced or in current US society were able to purchase from the local WallMart.

You're welcome. I weigh the stay issue every day, particularly now that I am busy with my website and knocking our several paintings for a local gallery's showings next month. I do apologize for not doing any quality blogs these days but they only become fodder for arguments. It is amazing how just last week a simple inspirational message touched off a battle when one person sized the opportunity to take it off topic and others jumped in. I try to delete these kind of comments before this happens but between working a lot and spending a couple of days at the ER and doctor's offices with family it slipped by.

My website is up but the forum - discussion area is not running yet becasue I have to take the time to learn how to run it. Once it is functional I'll let you know how to find me there. I will continue to post some light weight stuff here but will keep the serious stuff on my personal blog where I can be stuck up, elitist, discriminatory and everything else I am accused of being.

only natural and / or hand made items because i like their energy. a woman down the road has about 50 plastic pumpkins filling up her porch.
