 How timely, I just got my license renewal notice in the mail today. I renewed online for another five years which means the photo, which is now at least eight years old, will be 13 years old when this new license expires. If I were checking ID's today, I would question myself...let alone in another five years.

ET, I see that quite often lately. I wonder if the deceased person picked the photo or if family members made the choice.

I did the same for a while. I believe I was able to renew 3 times then I had to go in for an eye test and new pic. Unfortunately last time I had 2 tickets so had to take the written test, eye test and pic. Now I will be over 70 when it is time to renew again so will have to take the written test and eye test every time.

 Hi Spirit: That's so funny. My drivers licence pic is so deceiving too. They put a pic of some old woman on it by mistake. She looks like a 'before' pic from AA. lol

I had a coworker once who used to laugh. Her license photo and info said she was a 130 lb brunette but before the DMV took a new photo or asked for updated info. she was a 200 lb red head. I think law enforcement must encounter this one a lot, particularly in situations where you just renew by mail.
