Words to Live By

Where was this when I was trying to explain why I block, ban and ignore?

[SIZE 3]Words to live by: “I no longer have patience for certain things, not because I’ve become arrogant, but simply because I reached a point in my life where I do not want to waste more time with what displeases me or hurts me. I have no patience for cynicism, excessive criticism and demands of any nature. I lost the will to please those who do not like me, to love those who do not love me and to smile at those who do not want to smile at me.

I no longer spend a single minute on those who lie or want to manipulate. I decided not to coexist anymore with pretense, hypocrisy, dishonesty and cheap praise. I do not tolerate selective erudition nor academic arrogance. I do not adjust either to popular gossiping. I hate conflict and comparisons. I believe in a world of opposites and that’s why I avoid people with rigid and inflexible personalities. In friendship I dislike the lack of loyalty and betrayal. I do not get along with those who do not know how to give a compliment or a word of encouragement. Exaggerations bore me and I have difficulty accepting those who do not like animals. And on top of everything I have no patience for anyone who does not deserve my patience.”

Life is much more enjoyable when we limit what we engage in.

Me too. There is a difference between tolerating things ands wallowing in them or supporting them.

Yup, I think you are one of us who has dealt with far too much controversy in our professional lives to want to engage in it for enjoyment.

I know you are another one who has had more than enough controversy and confrontation in situations where it matters to waste any of our time with insignificant ( as we define it) arguments and negativity.

Thank you. Unfortunately there are a few who don't see or respect the individuals right to choose.

Interesting reading, Spirit. I agree.

Oh, I am well aware of how that works. It doesn't matter though as there are plenty of people here who are friendly and non competitive. Then they whine because we prefer to hang out with each other. Issues? Definitely. I truly can't figure out why, if they dislike is so much, they fight so heard for inclusion, then deny inclusion is their goal. We were perfectly ok to teach their children, care for them when they were sick, make legal decisions that determined life changing outcomes, run business that provided their jobs, defend the country they claim to love so much, pastor churches, diagnose mental illnesses and provide therapy and now a sudden we are too stupid and incompetent to decide what is best and satisfying for ourselves. I suppose they have always been there but before they were old and bitter but we were too busy letting us care of the important things on their lives.

Rant over. Just know that the majority here like you are worth putting up, with the others.
