Photo Monday - Sunset Living near western facing beaches for may years (a few year right on the beach) spectacular sunsets become sort of routine. They change do to so many factors. There is always something new. I love Mexico My "second home" was San Filipe, then Mazatlan, then Puerto Vallarta. Their semi tropical and tropical climates are reflected in some of the most famous sunsets in the world. Sometime ordinary settings can be quite spectacular. Around the holidays last year I was leaving the local outlet mall parking lot just as sunset was concluding. It was one of those rare moment of light. The sky was dark enough at "top" for a few stars to show but light was till reflecting off of the clouds, light enough at the horizon to still provide some daylight and the parking lights on timers had just come on. Forget about hurrying home to make dinner. I had to get a photo. When I got home and looked at the photos I got a bonus. There was just enough moisture in the atmosphere for the parking lot lights to have halos. I liked this photo so much I painted it and liked the painting so much I had a "skin" made of a photo of it for my tablet. You never know when the ordinary might become extraordinary. Lovely shot, sw. It looks like those palm trees are reaching fir the sky. Lee Naturally they have a shaggy cover of dried fronds on the trunks but the custom here is to keep them groomed. Spiritwoman ^i^
