The Strega's Sunday

I spent the morning painting. Back to painting nebula. I can not seem to get enough of these beautiful creations. Before I started painting I took pictures of nebula from the Hubble telescope site and printed them as photographs, framed them and hung them in every available area in the sleeping area of my trailer. My early painting used them as my tool for learning blending and layering for effect.

Having mastered the techniques I am now able to focus on the emotions of creation. What a spiritual high. Depending on our belief systems we define and attempt to understand these things in different ways. Impossible, since creation and existence are some of those things the human mind is not capable of understanding let alone explaining.

Here I sit blessed. with the ability to recreate a visual of creation. Creativity and spirituality merge and are expressed via human medium. How amazing is that?

As I was working on blending and swirling colors to recreate the effects my mind wandered. We are all made of the basic materials as the vastness of the universe. Each of us is our own unique blend. No 2 are exactly the same. So, so amazing. How wonderful to be alive at a time when we have the ability to see the basics of creation.

Contrast this to how we perceive our own significance. Puts us in our place in the grand scheme of things.

Interesting you watched that. I was at my sister's yesterday so Chuck caught up on some old recorded stuff I don't watch. Guess what he watched? He even mentioned the same scene you did.

Imagining and then seeing a miniscule part of the Creation makes us realise how miniscule and insignificant we are !!

I hope and pray that we all realise that we can only become 'big' even if a small fraction of the Creation believe we did some good by them - thanks, SpiritGirl .

Have a wonderful day !!

I see the The creation issue is just another excuse for argument. Personally I never say any conflict. Religion tells us what happened in the limited expression of the times that the literature was written. Science fills the picture out with the how. The word God is a linguistic term for a power we can't explain and like all words is subject to individual interpretation depending on a person's frame of reference.

If we manage to connect with the source of creation the doing good should com without effort. Connecting means putting our insignificant controversies aide. All humans get "tunnel vision" at times, which is probably why I love scenes of the big picture. Helps keep my thinking in perspective.
