It's the Truth - It's on the Internet

I think I figured out where some people get their political facts.

I’m not sure about the truth of this. Perhaps the commentators were joking as well as the one who posted this item but the story implies they weren’t. I personally find it hard to believe that anyone could read well enough to be on a social site and cold figure out how to use a computer could not know that there are no dinosaurs today.

Great example though of how people tend to jump on any information that supports their arguments and how easy it is for the media to take advantage of our preconceived ideas to gather support.

Some Internet Users Thought Steven Spielberg Had Killed a Dinosaur

We don't live in the prehistoric age. Dinosaurs don't exist anymore. So why did Steven Spielberg kill a triceratops?

Turns out lots of non-"Jurassic Park" fans on Facebook didn't realize that Jay Branscomb was joking when he posted a "disgraceful" photo of a "despicable man" — namely director Steven Spielberg — posing with a poached triceratops. It's been shared over 30,000 times! One Facebook commenter who was in the dark about the animal's extinction wrote, "Disgusting! I bet he only kept the horns!"

Come on, what do you mean triceratops no longer are alive. If they were in the movie, they must have been alive.

Now I know why I don't frequent the Face place.

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

Huh. They could've cloned a triceratops without anyone's knowing and then...

What? Do they still roam back there in Georgia?

It works well for staying in contact with friends and family. Better than here in ways becasue you can control what you see. For example I am still "friends" with an ex's grand son but can "hide" his posts.

No such thing as critical thinking these days. I remember when I was a shop more in high school learning in history class that text books are biased. Then imagine how much more the internet with no control is.
