Rebirth and Resurrection This holiday celebrating rebirth and victory over death is best depicted (for me) by the awesome powers of the universe we do not understand so have to accept on faith. With this in mind I have always been fascinated by nebulae. My spiritual self is awed by the awesome power of creation so much greater than we humans can even fathom. My artistic self (not all that different from my spiritual self) is in awe of the incredible display of color, form etc. When I decorated my RV I printed, framed and hung pictures of nebulae. Later I started painting them. This is one I finished a couple of weeks ago. It is huge, 4’ X 4’, and uses plastic wall board and acrylics. It will be one of my exterior pieces. I just haven’t decided where it will be placed yet. Although I might use different words to describe this, it is a visualization of the Christian hymn “O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder consider all the works thy hand hath made, I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder, thy power throughout the universe displayed” However you define and understand it take time this Easter Day to contemplate this awesome power. I do remember this. Unfortunately my ADD brain usually remembers bits and pieces of stuff here and there so having much more than a few lines here and there pop us doesn't happen. Thankfully good old Dr. Goggle is always there to assist in retrieving the rest. PS - I've never been anti Christian or anti anything. Personally I feel that all belief systems take you to the same place if you follow their intent. I just find most of those believe systems to limited and too demanding for me to figure out, let alone follow. Spiritwoman ^i^
