Looks Aren’t Everything….

Most of us, no matter how hard we try not to, judge people first by how they look. Men are especially guilty of this. More like accused I guess would be more accurate. But I do believe we grow out of that as we get older.

But given a chance you might be surprised at the person that perhaps you just brushed off as someone that is just another individual of no particular personality or talent. Such was the case of Susan Boyle. She is 47 year old woman, who, by her own admission had never been kissed and looked like a garage door.

To look at her you would never suspect that she would be able to carry a tune in a bucket, much less actually sing a sing.
Imagine the snickering and laughing in the audience when she took the stage. Then imagine the awe and shock of the audience when she began to sing with one of the most beautiful voices they had ever heard.

For those of you that have not yet heard about Susan Boyle you need to go to You Tube and check it out. I promise you it’s worth listening to and it is not even my kind of music.

Totally agreeing with the awesomeness of Susan Boyle's voice AND the title of your blog. Honesty, compassion, manners, a smile & sense of humor and intelligence are some of the qualities I look for in people. Looks are not a priority.

The positive is there. Sometimes it's just hard to find.

Do you remember the fairytale of the ugly ducklin? Susan Boyles lived that life & has just proven that beauty lies on whats inside. Her singing stopped me dead in my tracks as I was cleaning house, I couldnt help it she was so wonderful. I would definately buy her music as she is calming & I think in this world we live in, we could all use something to relax us! Just too bad dont have sound in chat as I would play Susan Boyles 24/7.....LOL!

An uncanny talent she has. Almost like Vera Lynn has come back to us. A voice so sweet and clear....it made me cry. But then... I cry every week when one of the kid's on American or Canadian Idol has to go home. LOL

I used to be very attracted by good looks too, but that changed somewhere in my early 40's. Mind, heart and soul are the things that interest me now.
