My story about money...

There was a blog about picking up pennies and I wanted to share something that happened to me so as not to take up space on the other blog I will post my story here...BTW..I usually pick up coins when I see them...

Back in 1984 I was moving out of my house as a result of selling it due to divorce...
On that last day, I did a recheck inside and went out to get into the car for the last time and as I got to the drivers door I looked down and there, folded to within a space of 1/4 inch was a $1.00 bill...I picked up and with tears said to myself..."I guess this means I will never be broke"...I have carried this $1.00 bill with me all these years and to tell you that I have not been in need of it at times would be a lie... I have never gotten to the point that I would use it...it was and still has a special meaning and I have shared this story to others many times...

So the main thing to remember is that no matter how bad things are, there is always a little something that helps us keep going...for me it was and still is a simple $1.00 bill...

Take care all

Marie; You have millions in a currency that can't be deposited at the local bank.

I have a $1.00 bill my best g/f gave me in a card for my graduation from College and the card said it was my seed money! So I saved it for that purpose and can honestly say it did grow and I have not been in need of it since.

What a beautiful story. No matter how bad things were, I used to always know in the back of my mind I could always pack up and go to my mother's. That was my fall back.
