Springing The Board

You spring the board the water down below
and briefly now you're up above it all
but as you rise there's something that you know:
a thing goes up that thing has need to fall.

You've played this out in every way you could
a play rehearsed upon the given stage
the angle wrong as well a wall of wood
that surface pierced you've chosen to engage.

Your safety net's the measure of the mind
adroit at things for weighing consequence
the future then a thing that you've designed
by studies made and use of common sense.

You spring the board with confidence and cool
the pool of life a splash – your kind of pool.

Richard, your poetry which speaks to me in such an immediate sense is truly a delight to my ear...

It is sometimes put forth that one needs to 'comprehend' the poet's language - that which stems from the essence of his/her being - as one absorbs prose, verbal discourse etc....

It is as though we have an ongoing dialogue to which I am able to relate as my 'ear' is fully in tune with your poetic musicality hence I am able to 'sight read' and feel enhanced....then, upon reflection and ongoing rumination I am blessed with the gift of your creativity as I too am validated by that which your precious words convey......

Thank you, Richard, and all the best to you and yours......Dianne

Hi Dianne. Thank you for the positive and validating
feedback. A bit late getting back to you, not having been
home for a few days. Spending time at the cabin. In any
case, good that you are getting something tangible from
my poetry. Each day I add music and graphics to my poetry
and send those off to various people. You'd be welcome
to those also...

Richard, you are most welcome and I hope that your time at the cabin is beneficial in the truest sense....

Yes, your poetry is 'composed' with 'absolute pitch' and my ear is always receptive thus I am validated in the most uplifting manner!!

Richard, I do appreciate your kind offer and thank you so very much.....

Sincerely with all my best, Dianne

Hi Dianne. Thank you for the response. You'd have
to write me in order for the transaction to occur.
If you can do that, I will be most happy to comply.

Richard
