Karin: From what Rosie said in her blogs during and after the Florida get-together, wouldn't surprise me one bit if both of you did indeed 'catch' H1N1 flu.
Did the doc at Kaiser do laboratory testing/cultures to see whether it was (or is?) H1N1 flu? I'm wondering that - b/c there are several flu 'strains' - and H1N1 can be ID'd only by laboratory testing. And - it instructions for what to do/how to do it while recovering are (somewhat) different for one flu strain from another.
Sending along many best wishes that you will feel LOTS better / will be totally back to your normal 'Feelin' Good' self.

I don't have the fever that comes with H1N1, this was more a head cold (it felt that it was going to explode) and an inflammation of my vocal cords, I am still horse and the headache is still there, lesser than before though, so ready to have it over with...Recovering is really much the same, there is no medication for the virus, stay in bed, drink plenty of fluids and take Tylenol for the pain.

Well shucks, Karin... if the alcohol kept it away, don't you reckon that some more alcohol might help you now? Heck, I got a bad cold and didn't even have the fun of going to St. Pete's!

Hope you getting to feeling much better soon, Karin. Maybe a "hot toddy for the body" might help.
