Wow what different things we have in our refrigerators.
Mine has cheese, fresh tomatoes, raspberry wine, pork chops,
fresh hamburger, fresh strawberries, fresh lettuce, celery and carrots with a wonderful ranch dip. Now my freezer has crab cakes and Polynesian Salmon.

I'm looking to the future and it's out of sight,
only in the end shall I take flight.

Sounds scrumptious.... I could have added home made vegetable soup to the menu, but it would have seemed out of place with such elegant stuff.

Looks and sounds scrumptious. I think I could combine every food item in the house and still not make a decent meal. Although I did make apple struedel (in the Oven) for dinner with family tonight.

Soup sound wonderful Pat, have leaned a new way of making soup stock
here it goes: Get a ready cooked chicken (in my case at Costco) pull the skin and de-bone it save the meat....throw the bones and skin in a pot with a cup of white wine, celery, onions garlic, carrots, top it up with water, sal/pepper....let it cook for about an hour..cool it and put through a sieve......Best stock ever..stick it in the freezer when cold...when you want fresh home made soup, defrost and add vegetables of your choice....delicious....

    Looks like a great meal.

What a great idea. Sounds like the
parties that we used to have,
"Come as you are dressed" at the
moment we called and bring your
    favorite anything that you have
handy. I haven't been to one in years.

The scale will probably be wrong!
    You might weigh less.

    Good post.

Snoopy wants to come to the next one!

karen i enjoy food and would be pleased to be your sous chef at st pete's...I do my artichokes a little bit different...i trim them as usual and soak them in water...meanwhile I sautee shallots and mushrooms...then I open the artichokes and stuff them full of the sauteed mixture...add a little fresh parmesan cheese and sprinkle a little tomato sauce and drizzle a little olive oil on the artichokes. Next I add one glass (half water and half good white wine) around the bottom of the pan and bake at 375 for about an hour...comes out delicious...told you not to get me started on cooking
Some tricks I do not mention for personal reasons...never give a complete recipe

OK so I thought I would check my refrigerator, here it is:

1. 1 bottle of water (1/2 actually)
2. 1/4 bottle of Vodka left over from the Laguna luncheon at the end of June
3. 2 containers half full of chicken salad & egg salad from Trader Joes', each about 4 days old, time to toss em.
4. 1/2 can of whipped cream for my coffee..

Think I'll not have left overs.... But Jack in the Box is always open..yum yum....
