I had to laugh

I laughed so hard last night my cheeks hurt this morning.

During break I was talking with one of my co-workers and we were discussing training the new hires coming to us this week. She was a new hire three years ago.

It takes a five week class before new hires begin working. I have been around a while and usually help them out.

Well, my co workers told me, about me, and my helping out. and she had me stitches.
Why, when she was new hire, she avoided asking me questions.. I always say things like...How did you get to that question? instead of just answering it. It seems my challenging attitude didn't work. Too loud, too aggressive, too demanding. We laughed about it, as she imitated me.

It seems I carry my challenges to learn every where I go. We learn and then we do.
But in my job and in my life. I find the true learning is in the doing, not the thinking about it.

Anyway, I laughed my ass off last night, at myself.

They say there are no dumb questions, just dumb answers.

The way I see it at work and at play. Is the right answer to the wrong question, is still a dumb answer. Understanding the question, is always more important than knowing and giving the right answer. I have never been good at relaying that to others. It always seems to come off wrong.
