The World is My Oyster

The world is my oyster
Yet, I am it's shell
to cover, to cloister
In my place to dwell

The life behind walls
That keeps it inside
When the outside calls
In my world to hide

With windows to see
but no light through the pane
Weather or not it's to be
In my outside of rain

The vision of reality
The hope and despair
A moment that's poetry
Is my oyster to share

Great Jiminy what I gther from your poem is that you can come and go when you like, hide when you feel like it and close out the world but that poetry makes it all alright at the end. Tht what I gathered but I may be wrong, its how I see my life.

We all need an "oyster shell" at times.

Robyn,
I wrote this today, because I was feeling, lonely.
Somedays we live too much inside, only knowing the wall of our mind and the four walls of the room we happen to be in.
I wondered why today was so. when I so much want to be somewhere outside myself. Even if it was raining outside.
The poem I wrote tried to explain that...And by writing it, allowed me to be outside myself.
