 Obviously trying to impress you and testing to see if you fit into their clique..... and you know that places like that do have them. You are old enough to know to take your time and get to know people and be friendly, but not too revealing to just anyone.

 It is best to keep your thoughts to yourself and sit back and observe until you get to know your neighbors. People are not always who you think they are. Sometimes it is better to be a loner instead a groupie.
