Good to keep in mind. It may sound narcissistic but most American women fall victim to the societal image of what we are suppose to be and have low self esteem. We need lots of reminders to remember that we are worthy of good things and need to treat ourselves better. I fought this battle for years. Interesting that once I finally raised my true feelings about my self worth and stopped putting up with crap becasue "women are suppose to" and started hitting the delete button there were far more men attracted to me and as long as I stayed focused I was able to sort out which ones complimented me and added to rather than took from me. Since these were men who were comfortable with them selves and did not feel a need to prove their masculinity by demeaning women either directly or indirectly these relationships proved to be the most satisfying for both parties.

Speaking my truth always gets me into trouble.
