........The secular society and Liberals in America are constantly telling us that the Constitution provides for a separation of Church and State. It does not. Nowhere in that document do those words appear. It does say that Congress shall make no law establishing a religion and goes on to say, or the free exercise thereof;........
......In the bible when Jesus was asked about the payment of taxes he replied "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's". As this Country gets further and further away from God and Biblical principles I am reminded of that verse. By contrast the Secularist and Liberals seem to be saying "Render unto Caesar what is God's". Progressive thought tells us to bless sexual partnerships that are biblically immoral and facilitate abortions. To accept the destruction of embryonic cells for research. Euthanasia and assisted suicide is compassionate. Redefine Marriage and no prayers allowed in public schools. As a Christian believer I reserve the right unto oppose these efforts because I do not believe in rendering to Caesar (the Government) what belongs to God....
.....Finally I will not violate my conscience. I will express my religious freedom, regardless of the consequences to myself. Having been branded by many as having a closed mind and narrow thought process with extremist views, I really don't care nor do I lose any sleep over it. You will never convince me to abandon the Godly, Biblical principles that has made America the great County that it is. I will pay my taxes and salute the flag and honor our military. I will pray for our leaders, obey the law and honor diversity but never ever tell me to "Render unto Caesar what is God's". How can anyone with a conscience do so?............

......As our Government is on the verge of spending us down the river with another massive bill without a paddle, this time under the mantra of health care, just how anti business must we become before the unemployment rate reached 100%. As I read comments on my previous blogs on business I see it loud and clear. Coporations are evil, greedy and are shipping jobs overseas.......OK lets assume that you tinker around in your little workshop/Labratory and you discover a devise/cure for Diabeties. You decide that there is a big market for your discovery/product and you want to make it available to everyone. In formulating your business plan you see that America will be taxing you 40% of each unit you sell above your expenses to produce that unit. The tax on Corporations and business in America is the 2nd highest in the World. You also have a bit of intelligence and can see with our massive debt and continued spending the Government will have to raise that 40% level in order to pay for it all.......... Along comes another Government and tells you their Tax rate is 15%. There are no concerns about Unions and no regulations on the profits you may earn........I think you can see where I am going with this. Now go right ahead and blame whomever you want or whatever you want on our current employment woes but unless something is done by our Imperial (know it all)Government job creation will soon be non exsistent if its not already. Sure we have window washers and hot dog cart vendors but what happens when too many people decide to provide those services for themselves? Soon afterwards those jobs will go too. Why not be the first Government to have a Zero tax on business. After all the tax Business/Corporations pay is passed on to the consumer (us) with higher prices on goods and services. More taves mean Business will be reluctant to come to our shores and new Business will and continue to depart. Bailouts, Stimulus bills and more Taxes will not bring Employment back.....Oh wait how silly of me if zero tax on business were implemented the Looters couldnt Loot, The Moochers couldnt Mooch and the Producers? They keep getting a pink slip in their mailbox more and more every day........Welcome to the ranks of the Moochers.

.......Anyone who has read my blogs know that every September CJC and I travel to Maine for my annual family's reunion. It has been held continuously for 101 years. For the first 60 years it was held in the small town called Windham. The owners of the property changed hands so the get together was moved to its current site in an adjoining town called Gray Maine. The first family member to reach America was a chap named Hatevil Hall. He arrived at the Massachusetts Bay Colony in the 1650's. Not being a Puritan but a Quaker he was soon banished (exiled) to Maine. Although he came from England his family were originally from Scotland. This past year's reunion we invited a fine gentleman who dressed in traditional Scottish attire to serenade us with bagpipe music during our picnic lunch. As he meandered along the waters edge of the Lake I took this picture. Maybe its not a favorite but I like it......hope you do as well.

......Some time ago CJC needed to spend some air miles and decided to get some magazine subscriptions for me she chose Sports Illustrated and Newsweek. After 6 months of Newsweek I became really sick of their biased journalism that I did not renew. They kept sending me copies after the subscription ran out with a bill. After repeated calls and letters that I did not want their fish wrap anymore the magazine still kept coming accompanied with a bill. Finally I would write in Large Letters Return to Sender and leave it in my mailbox. That did the trick no more NewsWeak.....Their recent cover of Sarah Palin in jogging attire is confirmation of just how far left they have become. This is Newsweek in it death throes and will do anything to boost its dwindling circulation. Now if it were Sports Illustrated or Runners World a picture of her in Jogging shorts would be appropriate but for a News (so called) Magazine to do so is unconscionable. I see this as another attempt to depict her as not being a credible political force in America. I am sure Newsweek has their reasons but reasons to a Liberal is an excuse. Liberals have become experts as excusing those they want and condemning those they hate. Reasons are not excuses but liberals can't accept that truth...much like any truth they react to it like battery acid on their skin. The truth is they are scared to death over her and will stoop to any low to unjustly defame her. The Liberal tactic of attacking the messenger not the message is in full swing. Newsweek will no doubt be hailed by the 10-15% of the gooneybird American voter of that I am sure. As they keep losing subscribers and advertisers we can expect more outrageous covers like that.....Think they will run one of Obama picking his nose or Michelle's butt in a bikini?.........

Unemployment.....a reason for it.

.......For some reason my critics look at my blogs with a jaundice eye. They know I am a conservative thinker so any time they take me out of context or read between the lines and do it with a vigor. Instead of discussing issues with reason they throw up salvos of denial, deflection and PC nonsense. If I disagree with the current Administration on policy I am labeled as uncaring, racist or a bigot..........
.........In 9 short months unemployment has surged 3 full percentage points. One would be hard pressed to find a similar surge in that short of a time frame. As the Administration scrambles for answers all they have to do is look at themselves. The first reason is that billions of the Stimulus went to extend unemployment benefits. Good Grief 60minman how does that affect unemployment? Simple the second reason is the more you subsidize something the more of it you get. By subsidizing unemployment you get more unemployment. By extending the normal 25 weeks to 79 weeks why would someone out of work be in any rush to get a job? Why would they accept a job that may be a longer commute or one that did not equal their previous job in salary and benefits? In fact why would someone even accept a higher paying job if it meant re-locating? Uncle Sam is giving them a salary that is sufficient to meet their needs that's why. Now I have just read that the President wants to extend unemployment benefits even longer....Stop the spiral Mr President go back to the 25 weeks so we can put people back to work instead of them sitting at home watching soap operas .......
......OK Liberals let me have it, tear me apart, stick it to me. I can take it for I know you are in denial and do not reason with common sense......

The Protests of a 10Yr Old...............

.......Yesterday on CNN they aired (what they called a news story) a unique piece of muddled trash only they could. Seems that a 10 yr old 5th grade student in Arkansas will not stand and pledge allegiance to the Flag. It is his belief that the words "with liberty and justice for all" is not true because Gays/Lesbians cannot marry and they do not have equal rights. Now instead of taking this child to task for his convoluted views the network praised this form of protest and approved of his logic by saying This little guy has got his arguments down and "He's a really, really well spoken little kid." ..............OK I have been very critical with Public (Government) Schools and the Main Steam Media. This just proves my point. Instead of challenging this young boy's misguided opinions they laud them. OK 60minman the boy is right Gays cannot get married. Oh yes they can. Premise: You can marry the person you love. A gay man can't......Reality: I can marry the person I love only if its a woman, if not just like the Gay man I cannot. So what "right" do I have that a gay man does not? I can hear everyones thought process right now. Well, Gays/lesbians do not enjoy the benefits married couples do. Hogwash, neither do strait persons who are not married. Now if anyone out there can relate to me one constitutional right that's denied a gay/lesbian person that is afforded a straight person please enlighten me. Just maybe we can put this equal rights thing to rest........PS this child's parents ought to charged with child abuse for allowing their child to attend Public schools where such nonsense is not only condoned but encouraged and taught.

........Seems like every morning when I awake I wonder what more damage will be done to America just so we wont offend the rest of the World. I honestly believe the rest of the World wants to see a weakened America. When I think about why this is the case I can look in our own backyard for the answer. I know there is no poll for this but Im am willing to bet that untold thousands of Obama voters thought once he was elected, that he would pay their mortgage and fill their gas tanks. Of course the President is not doing that but he is giving the World what it wants. A weakend America. ............... He weakens America almost daily by his policies and actions so the World thinks he is great. Every time he goes on a trip its apologizing or bowing or asking (begging) for some concession from some foreign Government. Our previous enemies now smile and shake his hand and pat him on the back. His "Im sorry" diplomacy has won the World over. Why else does he want to bury us in a mountain of debt? Why else does he procrastinate in Afghanistan while casualties mount? Why else did he close Guantanomo? Why else does he placate the terrorist? America voted for "Change" and we damn sure got it, to bad its not what "We can believe in"

......CNN has done it again. They have permitted a stellar news anchor to leave. So who will they now get to replace this hard hitting newsman who asks the tough questions? I guess CNN considers a tough question as "What is your brand of toothpaste?" instead of "What are you doing to bring down the deficit?". Ask a Liberal a question and he gives you a campaign speech. A simple yes or no does not exist in their vocabulary. Oh well I guess the dwindling viewership of CNN will now get even lower....... I may be wrong but I do not think Lou Dobbs will join Fox News. It would be refreshing if he did but somehow I think he will want to have an opinionated outlet of his own to highlight his free market views. After all it would be hard for him to break into the already top ten shows on Fox of all Cable News Outlets...... The Main Stream (liberal) Media is like diabetes. Over time if unchecked takes its toll on the body. The Main Stream Media is now so far left that it has taken its toll in the arena of credibility.......If only the MS Media would stick to a "balanced" diet , exercise with "moderation" and take their "Medicine" religiously will they reverse the effects of the ratings "disease" they now find themselves in.......

A Best Seller for Sister Sarah........

......Today CJC asked me how would I like a copy of Sarah Palin's book "Going Rouge" for my birthday. I replied that would be great. It would really be comforting to read in her own words instead of hearing Andrea Mitchell, Chris Mathews, Kieth Olberman, Rachel Madow and that guy Ed scurring around like roaches when the lights are turned on when they heard her magnificent acceptance speech for her parties nomination to be the Republican VP candidate.....
........Oh my they must have thought, here is a candidate who believes in traditional family values. She believes in Motherhood and love of Country just the way it is. She has a lovely family and is strongly pro-life so much so has borne a downs syndrome child. She is down to earth and enjoys to hunt and fish. She is experienced in dealing with corruption from being a small town Mayor to the Governor of her State. She is respectful and common sense smart and has strong religious beliefs. Something must be done about this, she just might become popular. After all she didn't attend Wellsley or Smith or even Yale or Harvard, Shes no elitist she is just an average American.......
.........Enter the Liberal attack machine, lets get her on the bias main steam media shows where we can expose her plainness and her trusting nature that they will show her respect and not attack her . Lets get SNL Tina Fey to make fun of her midwest accent, and get Letterman to make jokes about her children. Lets drum it in to the electorate through our "in the pocket" media outlets how bad she would be for America. America wants a carefully crafted rhetorical showpiece not a normal, down to earth, conservative values, class act lady being a heartbeat away from the President.........
.......Now that she has written her book on how it all happened in her own words and her book comes out and stays on the best seller list, the Liberal attack machine will gear up for another round of hate Sarah. In fact they have already begun in hopes that they can derail her book's best seller status.......
......My hope Sarah is that you have the will and strength to stand up to this elitist class that has for so long ruled our political climate that is hell bent on destroying and selling our Country down the river. You were and still are a breath of fresh clean Alaskan air so sorely needed instead of the current pollution we now have.....

........An old business friend of mine used to say when making decisions, "ya snooze you lose" another one of his sayings was "Think long think wrong". "He who hesitates is lost", "Swift and resolute action leads to success; self-doubt is a prelude to disaster." and finally "You cannot plow a field by
turning it over in your mind." What are you talking about 60minman? Our Procrastinator in Chief wants to revise his policy on the war in Afghanistan. That is if he can find the time. Meanwhile casualties are mounting, and our enemies are embolden as they view us as weak. I was watching a news clip recently as President Obama was speaking to the troops. He declared that he would not send the military in harms way without being sure that it was in our best security interest. Unlike his pep rallies and speeches he gives in front of kookie supporters who yell and shout and pump their fists at his pre planned fancy meaningless slogans I saw no smiling no enthusiastic shouts but only mild polite applause. I believe now not only do our enemies think he is weak but even our men in uniform think that as well. Go to Crawford Texas Mr President, seek advice from a real Commander in Chief. You are destroying the morale so important to our military readiness and you are not even aware of it........Those of you who still have Obama/Biden bumper stickers on your cars better turn them into "Cash for Clunkers" if you cant scrape it off........
