A Best Seller for Sister Sarah........

......Today CJC asked me how would I like a copy of Sarah Palin's book "Going Rouge" for my birthday. I replied that would be great. It would really be comforting to read in her own words instead of hearing Andrea Mitchell, Chris Mathews, Kieth Olberman, Rachel Madow and that guy Ed scurring around like roaches when the lights are turned on when they heard her magnificent acceptance speech for her parties nomination to be the Republican VP candidate.....
........Oh my they must have thought, here is a candidate who believes in traditional family values. She believes in Motherhood and love of Country just the way it is. She has a lovely family and is strongly pro-life so much so has borne a downs syndrome child. She is down to earth and enjoys to hunt and fish. She is experienced in dealing with corruption from being a small town Mayor to the Governor of her State. She is respectful and common sense smart and has strong religious beliefs. Something must be done about this, she just might become popular. After all she didn't attend Wellsley or Smith or even Yale or Harvard, Shes no elitist she is just an average American.......
.........Enter the Liberal attack machine, lets get her on the bias main steam media shows where we can expose her plainness and her trusting nature that they will show her respect and not attack her . Lets get SNL Tina Fey to make fun of her midwest accent, and get Letterman to make jokes about her children. Lets drum it in to the electorate through our "in the pocket" media outlets how bad she would be for America. America wants a carefully crafted rhetorical showpiece not a normal, down to earth, conservative values, class act lady being a heartbeat away from the President.........
.......Now that she has written her book on how it all happened in her own words and her book comes out and stays on the best seller list, the Liberal attack machine will gear up for another round of hate Sarah. In fact they have already begun in hopes that they can derail her book's best seller status.......
......My hope Sarah is that you have the will and strength to stand up to this elitist class that has for so long ruled our political climate that is hell bent on destroying and selling our Country down the river. You were and still are a breath of fresh clean Alaskan air so sorely needed instead of the current pollution we now have.....

........An old business friend of mine used to say when making decisions, "ya snooze you lose" another one of his sayings was "Think long think wrong". "He who hesitates is lost", "Swift and resolute action leads to success; self-doubt is a prelude to disaster." and finally "You cannot plow a field by
turning it over in your mind." What are you talking about 60minman? Our Procrastinator in Chief wants to revise his policy on the war in Afghanistan. That is if he can find the time. Meanwhile casualties are mounting, and our enemies are embolden as they view us as weak. I was watching a news clip recently as President Obama was speaking to the troops. He declared that he would not send the military in harms way without being sure that it was in our best security interest. Unlike his pep rallies and speeches he gives in front of kookie supporters who yell and shout and pump their fists at his pre planned fancy meaningless slogans I saw no smiling no enthusiastic shouts but only mild polite applause. I believe now not only do our enemies think he is weak but even our men in uniform think that as well. Go to Crawford Texas Mr President, seek advice from a real Commander in Chief. You are destroying the morale so important to our military readiness and you are not even aware of it........Those of you who still have Obama/Biden bumper stickers on your cars better turn them into "Cash for Clunkers" if you cant scrape it off........

My Take on Ft. Hood.....

Disclaimer.....If you are liberal or like persuasions you are advised not to read any further for my intent is not to offend you or get you upset for the rest of the day......
.......I have declined to comment on the Ft Hood tragedy because it really hit home. However the Liberal media and the lets not offend anybody establishment including the Obama Administration are not telling the truth about just exactly what it was. For some reason they are spinning it as a crime, or a soldier snapped, or comparing it to the Va Tech/Columbine scenario's. Nothing could be further from the truth. It was an act of War and Terrorism perpetuated on American soil for the first time since 9/11. This Islamic Goon committed this heinous act in the name of Jihad. He shouted allah ahkbar as he gunned down unarmed Americans. He is an Islamic terrorist just like those creeps who flew the planes into the World Trade Center........The do gooders and touchy feely folks all want to explore his past and what made him do this, I say it was because he was a jihadist goon period. I don't care about his unhappy childhood or his objection that we are in a war against his Islamic Jihad goon brothers. I say stand him up on National TV and strip his uniform from his rank and buttons. As soldiers stand in formation give the command "about face" as they turn their backs on him and Drum him out to a cell in Guantanamo to rot away. Need to find out what his reasons for doing what he did then waterboard the H*** out of him..........OK Mr President continue your quest on closing Gitmo and let those Creeps (to nice of a word) loose on American Soil. Is there something about War you don't understand? 2012 is not that far off.....

..............Here it is Veterans day. It also is CJC's, birthday. When I had first met her and she told me when her birthday was I replied wow thats Veterans day. She replied yes I know and I am honored to share that day with all Veterans..... ......
........My first visit to her home I noticed a small framed banner which I instanly recognized. The 3 blue stars on a white field with a red border signified how many family members that you had serving in WW2. It was the original banner from that era that hung in the window at the ol home place during those years as her Mom had 3 brothers serving at the same time during WW2. The banner is fading and frayed, colors not nearly as vivid as they once were. It brought a sense of sadness to my heart for it reminded me that the Veterans of WW2 are fading as well. Every year we lose hundreds of them. Soon they will all be gone but their sacrifices will always be with us. So dear old banner you may be faded, frayed, and worn but you always have a place of honor in our Home and in our hearts. Thank you CJC for treasuring that flag, for protecting it all these years. You have not only honored your Uncles but you have honored all Veterans on your Birthday and reminding us that loved ones wait at home praying to sustain those in harms way.
....CJC your the Greatest.......Happy Birthday sweetheart.

.....Our 13th Commandant MGen John A Lejeune went on to say, "In every battle and skirmish since the Birth of the Corps, Marines have acquitted themselves with the greatest distinction, winning new honors on each occasion until the term "Marine" has come to signify all that is highest in military efficiency and soldierly virtue".....
.......Today all Marines pause and reflect on those words around the Globe. In every clime and place. The tradition of the cake cutting ceremony where the youngest Marine present receives the first piece of cake and the oldest Marine present receives the second piece, many may see as trivial but not to a Marine. He sees it as a bond for all Marines past and present that we are indeed a "band of brothers" like few others.......
......The Marines current Commandant Gen James T Conway words in his Birthday message this year says volumes about what the Marines are all about. " As we celebrate our Corps' 234th Birthday, we first pause to reflect and pay tribute to those Marines who have given the last full measure in defense of freedom. We extend our deepest gratitude to our Marine Corps families - the unsung heroes who endure hardship and sacrifice so that we are able to go forward and accomplish any mission. We extend our appreciation to our countrymen who have answered our every need. And we celebrate the magnificent men and women who willingly and selflessly continue to go into harm's way to protect this great Nation."
........I have been asked many times what about the "Green Berets" the "Navy Seals" the "Rangers" and other elite organizations as to why the Marines don't have similar units. My reply is that the Marine Corps is an elite unit all by itself. Like the latin words used to describe our Corps, Saepe Expertus, Semper Fidelis, Fratres Aeterni, (often tested, always faithful, brothers forever) Marines have always exhibited those virtues throughout its storied history...........This November 10th God bless all Marines past and present and God bless the United States of America......

An Icon Like No Other......

.......This Icon is an old man now. His hair is white, he is very frail and leans heavily on his cane. His visitors sit to his right because his hearing is better on that side. He is re veered by his Countrymen like no other in Modern and perhaps all of history. He is the standard by which all of his successors and others around the world are measured. A statesman who has no equal in his Country. How did this man from the humblest of beginnings who endured years of oppression and humiliation rise to such heights? By taking a page from the Holy Bible when Jesus uttered on the cross, "father forgive them for they know not what they do," he accomplished that and bound his Country together by embracing his former enemy in love and humility.......

.......Last night the Democrat majority in the House of Representatives narrowly passed the Failed Stimulus Bill II disguised as health care reform. All I heard from the Democrats last night during the debates were that 36 million Americans will now be able to afford heath care. OK what about the other 10-11 million? Guess they forgot about them. Nothing was said by Democrats that it would be accomplished at the point of a gun either. Forcing Americans to purchase health insurance with threats of fines and imprisonment is not my picture of reform or freedom. I also did not hear from them about fiscal responsibility or unemployment concerns or something minor like lowering a 1.4 trillion deficit we had this year. That's about 4 times higher than it has ever been in our history. In poll after poll Americans did not want this Pelosi version of health care reform.......I am confident that rational thinking persons in the Senate will prevail and a better bill will be forthcoming. Of course with Al Franken, Roland Burris and Chris Dodd anything is possible. Oh and that little document called the Constitution? dont let that stand in your way, your colleagues in the House didn't............

Doing the "Right Thing"..........

.......I have always liked John Stossel. In the early days he was the reporter who would always find some local business doing some sort of shady things to rip off consumers and exposing them on National TV. In the process he garnered 16 Emmys. Somewhere along the line he realized that the misdeeds of business was small potatoes compared to the misdeeds of Government, especially Big Government......
......In his recent article "The Double Standard of Journalist's Bias" he explained his turnaround in reporting and how it affected his Career. By not demonizing business any more the Emmy's stopped and his once favored image as a reporter was in jeopardy. In his own words he says ...."I figured out that business, for the most part, treats consumers pretty well. The way to get rich in business is to create something good, sell it for a reasonable price, acquire a reputation for honesty and keep pleasing customers so they come back for more." ....
.......How true are those words, America owes a deep debt of gratitude to the multitudes of businesses and corporations that do the "right thing" and spur this 15 trillion dollar economy not because of Government but in spite of it. No Country in the world comes even close to us........
........ Our Government imposes the Worlds 2nd highest tax on businesses. Can you imagine what our economy would do if we were the 2nd lowest in business taxes? In a span of only 2 hundred years our free market economy has grown to be the world's largest most innovative and technologically advanced than any other. Why? because of the profit motive enjoyed by Businesses that provide us the goods and services we demand. Lets be honest any tax on business is a tax on us the consumer. Lets tell our elected officials to lower the tax on business/corporations to 25% instead of its current rate of 40%. Lets see how that will "stimulate". Lets see how that will lower unemployment and finally lets see how the consumer reacts to the lower prices on the shelf.........

.......Aside from the World Series, the only thing of interest on the Boob tube was Tuesday's election coverage. I was pleased in general with the results. Republicans won in 2 of the 3 important races. Additionally for the 31st time the Gay/Lesbian gay marriage initiative was defeated by voters. Perhaps Maine is not as liberal as I had once thought. I fail to understand the Gay rights lobby saying they are denied the privilege of getting married. Hog wash they can get married anytime they want, all they have to do is find a partner of the opposite sex and get married........OK back to the subject of this blog. Yesterday the Drudge report released its ratings for viewership of the networks covering the Election.

MSNBC 974,000 viewers
Headline News 842,000 viewers
CNN 826,000 viewers
I find these results stunning. For a network to be touted by the White House as not being a "Legitimate News Organization" is absolutely amazing. How much longer do we, the viewing public, have to put up with MSNBC, HN, and CNN. They need to take their bias and pack up and leave. Their commentators are crude, uninformed and consistently ignore the truth as they spin their hateful liberal trash to an ever dwindling audience.......Go ahead White House keep telling us that Fox is not legitimate. Apparently not many are listening, myself included.
