I agree. One of the nice discoveries when I moved here to Redding was the friendly people. Strangers are always smiling and saying hello as if I was a good neighbor or something.  Smiling doesn't cost a thing, but its value is priceless.  "Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it"

I am also one of those perky, happy people that annoy others to no end....LOL I smile & say "Hello..and Have a Good day"....to everyone every where and I am a morning person too and that really seems to make people go Geeeeezzz....it is just ME..who I am... Living my life for the memories I will have....... not the regrets of what never was......

Would that more people would remember the courtesies and manners of yesterday..we need more of that..it would sure go a long way. Around here when I smile and say "Good Morning," I often hear this guttural sound that I guess issupposed to be some sort of reply..ha!ha!
