What a darling little girl your great granddaughter is!

Amazing the technology today to correct or the knowledge to let her live a good life.

So often I think, in earlier years you would not have these children.

Big gigantic hugs for her

It is amazing what doctors can do nowadays, isn't it? In the past a lot of kids didn't survive these kind of illnesses and now they do. We should all be very thankful.

Oh Pat my heart goes out to you. So happy to see that little girl looking so well. Kids are amazing how they come through these things. They are such little fighters. Big hugs to you and Joe!

I agree that there should be routine screening, if not prenatally at least shortly after birth.

Taken from a wall of the entrance to the Scottish Rite Hospital Atlanta GA

A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove... but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.

Mr. & Mrs. Joe we are blessed.

You have a beautiful granddaughter, Pat. I never knew that CHD are so common. I had no idea. You are right about there needing more testing, to ensure those that need the help gets it on a timely basis. A very important post indeed.
